I am.not sure about the hang up with left footed CBs?
I believe that around 15% population are left handed ( presumably a similar number of left footed)
Elliott Moore I think has almost always played as a left sided CB throughout his career?
I would have thought that a player more accustomed to playing as a left sided CB is the main thing?

We don't get all hung up with having a left-footed central midfielder, or when playing 2 up top having a left and right footed striker. If you are playing centrally you do need to be able to use both feet...
