Robbo said the 2 will have to train on their own. So unfortunately they are players not just staff.

As long as it doesn't go through the club, better now than just before the games as they can still do fitness work and be available afterwards. Unfortunate they are missing warm up game/s but that it is the least of the worries. Also good that they are asymptomatic, hopefully they've had no contact with vulnerable people.

Whats worrying is how after 2 negative results that these 2 become positive. Have they not been exercising the utmost best practices at the ground so is it from their private life activities ?

you could catch it doing shopping or filling car with petrol etc, so difficult to say that they may not have been exercising best practices.

Just as a point of interest, how quickly after 'contact' would a test prove positive - is it almost instantaneous or could it have been a contact from 2,3,4,7,14 days ago that the contraction happened?

Also, is there a chance of being false positive?

I don't think it is instantaneous could have been 2 days.

Have each batch of tests been the whole squad?

It would make sense if nailed on first teamers get tested in the first batches and youth team and fringe players later on... hopefully.

Would be interesting to know if any of our loans or younger players are living together in the same household... perhaps why we have more than one positive. I know that up to 6 players live in the same house when we were in the Blue Square.

It's possible as no test is 100% accurate, depending on which type of test scientists reckon accuracy can range from 70%-95%, and the chances of a false positive come down if players are being constantly tested. It's highly unlikely that a player will be a false positive after two tests, and almost impossible after three.

Simply should not be happening then, :(

Seriously... travel to the training ground... straight back home... get the missus to fill the car up... do the shopping etc. Yes there is a risk of catching it from your household but 2 lads at the same time. 🤷‍♂️

Let's not forget that the science and statistics regarding asymptomatic carriers is not really understand by scientists so maybe more present in society than we realise. Also, as much as systems are in place to stop the spread between the squad, nothing is watertight.

It'll be fine, as long as there are clearly defined guidelines set by a competent league task force under the guidance of a government that gives unambiguous information on COVID to people with a generally sensible behaviour and attitude.

Absolutely fine!
