To be fair Bristol City fans were far more arrogant.

On todays showing, Derby will be in more trouble than we will come the end of the season. Decent forward players on paper they have, but it ain't gelling.

All in all, the right result but, that was hard watching us fail to convert chance after chance. However, 3 points, clean sheet and no visible injuries (Mills was handed a bag of ice as he came off - think it was his hand)
Referee was appalling though. I just don't get how he came to his decisions on cards, shirt pulling, all in wrestling, and 50/50 challenges given as a foul. It does worry me that Cam gets so wound up and protests possibly a little too vehemently but, what can he do when some decisions were just plain wrong or, not given at all?

Looking at the rest of the games today is comforting. All around us failed to pull away, Wrexham will be interesting.

Nicely done and should be pointed out. This years kiss of death.

Just back home and very glad of the much deserved win. I’m not going over the top about the result but perhaps some of the doom and gloom, ‘told you I was right’ posters after the Watford game might now give a little credit where it is due. Rowett didn’t select the team most of us thought he might, but he was spot on today.
He completely out thought Eustace today

I thought he was something else today. My man of the match with Stanley.

Lovely to have Brown back and him and Helik Rick solid. I like the midfield set up too.

Derby were great at set pieces - those corners were vicious but offered absolutely nothing in open play. In fact they were awful. Have spent a lot of money (the lad off the bench cost £5million).
I don’t pretend to follow much championship football outside of the OUFC bubble, but Derby looked awful today. I’d be v worried about relegation if I supported them.
Bookies have them a 3/1 behind Oxford (evens). Not sure it’s worth a tenner just to get £30 back, but theres definitely value there.

Big win and a kind set of results as well. Wrexham are on an iffy run of form, let's hope we can follow this up with another win.

Mills was our man of the match but their keeper probably was overall. That said, better finishing would've put us out of sight by half time.

I liked Prelec up front and I liked that midfield, much more difficult to play through..

The ref seemed to be guessing - had no idea which way to give decisions, so just made it up as he went along. How we ended up with 4 yellows and that thuggish team ended up with just the 1 was utterly bemusing though.

The HT summary had us as giving away 2 fouls and them 7 including at least 3 by Adams who was a carthorse. First foul second half we get a yellow. The Vaulks one down the line was the softest yellow ever.

Also got to say we didn’t do much time wasting at all. Think that shows how comfortable we were with the game as a whole. Derby could have played until 5pm and they would not have scored.

Encouraging today - we've moved on from struggling to create decent chances to creating them and failing to put them away.

I thought the ref was a new kind of awful, especially in the first half. Prelec was being held by both arms, and then spun over to the ground, but apparently that's OK.

Will Horvath miss just the one game, or will it affect their game against us?

Edit - looking at the SW forum, they seem unsure as to whether it was for denial of a goalscoring opportunity (1 match) or violent conduct (3).

Superb performance today. Confident on the ball, created many chances and looked solid at the back. Referee ruined so much of the game. We could’ve probably won 5-0 but their keeper was excellent especially getting down to shots and getting the ball safe. Derby looked a lot like what Cardiff and Plymouth did last year but substantially worse. This rally was a must win and we managed it but we must build on the work achieved today.

We murdered derby today and if it wasn’t for their goalkeeper it could have been 4or 5.
As for their support the loudest they were was booing their team off at the end.
Well done to the team, management and supporters.

Really enjoyed today, quite possibly our most complete Championship performance to date if you take into account the result, the clean sheet, the creativity, the defensive solidity and the over all control we had of the game, not to mention the increasing pressure on us to get that first home win. Maybe Sunderland in our last home game last season matched it but this was really impressive today.

Everyone put a shift in, we were first to everything all over the pitch and Derby had no answer other than an outstanding goalkeeper and a decent dead ball delivery. What a performance from Prelec, that’s how you play the lone striker role. He started a bit quietly but finished it playing like a beast ! Some lovely deft touches, the cushioned header to tee up Helik and that run in the second half when he won the ball, held off two or three defenders and bore down towards goal - brilliant.

Brown was superb, he strolled through the game. I always feel Helik goes a bit under the radar but he was every bit as good as Brown, he’s been a great acquisition for us. Brannagan, BDK and Vaulks look a very strong midfield, that was a brave call by Rowett but that’s as dominant a midfield as we’ve seen in a long while. Mills is such an exciting player in full stride, just seeing a winger not checking back or going inside and then delivering the ball early with pace makes us so much more threatening.

Looking forward to the trip to Wrexham in midweek and great to have Lankshear and Krastev chomping at the bit to win back their places.

You’ve got to applaud the way Rowett set up the team for this vital game. Derby thought they would do the old blitzkrieg on’ little’ Oxford; we were more than ready for the predictable hammer throwers.

Team performance today but the younger names stood out. Currie, Spencer and Mills are already valuable assets .

Deserved win and some nice football.

Derby were shockingly bad if our players could actually put the ball in the net and their goalkeeper wasn't having a blinder we win that comfortably

The ref was the worst i have seen since Trevor teapot

That line up with those 3 in midfield will always leave you short out wide or up front at times but it is the perfect team to play to pick up points. Absolutely strangled any creativity from Derby the whole 90 mins. Helik gets forward well in this line up too and because you have those 3 he can stay up for the second ball when we are attacking from set pieces.

Like using the long throw it won’t work every week but Derby were totally shell shocked by our industry and speed to get the ball out to Mills and Prelec.

As for Prelec he was magnificent and is quickly becoming my favourite player. Been a while since we have had a player who can find space and bring others into the game. The tackle to beat 2 players, spin away, go on a run and make the keeper work hard was a brilliant piece of individual play.

Mad reading that after watching them, absolute carthorse of a team, the worst team we have played against in the championship, absolutely no technical ability in that side at all.

Thing is - they were exactly the same last year when we played them at home at almost exactly the same time of year (Oct 22nd that one was).

But despite being nothing more than a big bunch of cloggers, they out-chanced us, out-shot us, had more touches in the box, and generally edged a fairly dull draw.

Whereas today, we absolutely dominated them and were a great goalkeeping performance away from a thrashing. The results in general may not be showing it, but we have improved an absolute ton from last season. It's not a perfect stat, but last season we were 23rd in xG. After today's performance, we're up to 7th this year!

Can't help but think that they've signed a bunch of forwards that were good a couple years ago or more (Weimann, Brewster, Morris, Brereton Diaz). Only Agyemang (who they paid £6m for) could be considered a player on an upwards trajectory.

Sky had it as violent conduct. Only going off their presenter (haven't seen it) at the game, Horvath took out the opponent dangerously.
