Not quite sure how Mackie has made the team TBH, he simply isn't fit. Henry made both goals on Tuesday, I know who I would have selected.

I’m pretty sure Thompson is injured for them. Holmes will definitely be rested and I think Hanson and Henry will start.

I’ve got a decent feeling about this game and think we’ll get a result. A draw with a goood performance would be fine with me as Pompey are one of the better teams.

Have to say I’m disappointed to see Mackie in the line-up. I’m afraid that from what I’ve seen of him so far, I’m of the opinion that he’s not up to a first team spot but I’m prepared to eat humble pie if he proves me wrong. I suppose his experience of big games got him the nod over Whyte and injuries/knocks to Henry, Holmes and Carruthers have forced KRs hands a bit..

No Hall, Holmes and Henry on bench. Brave playing baptiste, after an okay game, moving Brannagan from his normal position. Norman had a cracking game yet misses out. Mackie over White, after how well he played Tuesday.
Does anyone know what the situation is regarding Holmes and Hall?
A couple of weeks into the season, and we seem to have 3/4 Key players out already.
We can get a result today, but not feeling confident as I did an hour ago though.

Holmes will miss games here and there as he has a long term injury that needs to be managed

Hall is just a crock, talented player but has never come close to looking like he can play a full season of football

Robinson was asked by Tiger if he wanted to bring in more players, and he said no, we have Lopes and Baptiste. Interesting.

Holmes should be back next Saturday - an injection next week. Hall seems to be a late change - swollen knee yesterday after training and off to a specialist on Monday.

Why on Earth we are persisting with Mackie and McMahon as regular starters I don't know. Jamal Lowe is going to have a field day down our right hand side - it's beyond lacking in pace.

News on Hally sounds worrying. Came off after training yesterday and his leg swelled up again. Going for a scan next week.

This sounds like something that is going to affect him for months, if not years.

Holmes has had is bi-annual back injections bought forward so was always going to be rested for this game. Gotta say that I’m extremely disappointed Henry is benched and Mackie starts in his place. Henry can unlock the door and score goals. Crazy team selection, one might say ‘kamikaze!’
