Just realized that I could watch a Championship relegation quadruple header on Friday.

Won't, because I've got to work, but could get up at 7:30am for Derby vs. Luton, follow up with Boro vs. Plymouth at 10am, lunch with Sheffield United vs. Cardiff at 12:30pm and then get ready for the main event at 3.

Modern football is generally rubbish, but there are upsides on days like Good Friday!

Is Good Friday not a bank holiday in the US then?

It is not. Separation of church and state and all that......

Not religious but losing the Easter weekend football double header would break my heart, Jesus died/came back to life/married the Easter bunny (or whatever Easter is about) so I could have a four day weekend eating, drinking and watching football, that needs to be respected.

Watched their recent match vs luton. They were no better than luton who were themselves pretty dire.
Watched that game as well and caught their highlights against Preston at the weekend. They’ve been playing under a huge weight of expectation and it’s shown. You could see the relief at the final whistle at the weekend.

Sheffield United haven’t helped that this week so hopefully they step up on Friday. If we can stay in the game for long enough, then Leeds will start to feel the pressure again.

Mate, I'm genuinely still not over the loss of the August Bank Holiday double-header.

It's all relative. @Sarge will be along in a minute to say he misses when you played two games on Christmas Day, and had your roast inbetween.

April fools was 2 weeks back.

I wouldn’t mind seeing us lose…..????

3-1 is okay……. ????

Have a word in the mirror.
Yes, if we have protected a couple of players and don’t get any injuries.

Like obviously would prefer we get something from the game!! But it’s not like I’ll be gutted if we lose considering.

Dembele and Placheta should be raring to start. Liked the look of Bradshaw at wednesday need to get players near him to pick up his knockdowns. If we dont concede early or even better score they will start to feel the pressure . Need to attack if possible!

We're not even allowed to dance in most German states on Good Friday, let alone work.
I'll still break it when we go one up against Leeds though...

I don’t think we can go into games worrying about injuries. It comes with the profession and going in with this mentality will just breed negativity.

Looking at our home run in, I honestly thought that out of Sheff U, Sunderland and Leeds, it was Leeds where we would perhaps get something. They are always up for a wobble.

I still think we can get something and I think we should go for it. We have already proven we can take points off the top of the table.

Cardiff away is going to be equally tough given how close we both are, and I don’t see that protecting players to put all our chips into this game is sensible.

Just my opinion, but we have to be brave and go for it.

Any win now will definitely guarantee safety and the sooner we get it the better.

That said Cam Bran is clearly injured, and we may still need him for easier fixtures. I would understand resting him, but unfortunately that would only make a very difficult prospect even more so.

Yeah, Cam does have a real problem and carrying an injury needing regular injections by the sound of it.

I think it is a case of getting him to the end of the season and using him where we can, so maybe he will indeed be rested if playing two games over Easter is just going to be too much.

But, if he feels he can play/contribute then we use him, even if he gets pulled off after 60 to prep for Cardiff.

Who would be a manager, hey?

So grateful that we decided to get two wins in the last three and make this much less important of a game. We may already be safe!

I wouldn’t mind seeing us take the loss here, protect a few players (Brannagan, Leigh) and then go for it in Cardiff.

Should be a good atmosphere this one - I’m sad to miss it. Will stick it on the TV.

3-1 Leeds, but that’s okay.

It’s OK to get beat ? Some on here are born losers, this is a pathetic attitude. I’ll be gutted if Leeds beat us, just as I was when we got tonked 4-0 up there. We need to find a way of scrambling a point, if not a win. The expectancy on them is reaching fever pitch and we need to take full advantage because, no doubt bout it, they’ll be a bag of nerves - just looked at how they bottled the play off final.

1-1 and with it, virtual safety.

Too right. Pompey beat them, so no reason for us to be throwing in the towel 4 days before the game even kicks off.

Didn't expect to be called a born loser on here...

Rotation for tactical reasons is fine, but do players need resting two weeks before the season ends and they get more time off than a school teacher?

I generally agree with you, but we also have a squad that will be fatigued, and this is when injuries can occur. I know that he wants to play every second of every game, but I'd be looking to keep Cam iced up and recovering as early as possible. 2 weeks is not long, but tweaking something in those 2 weeks could be far more damaging.

Harris has also played non-stop for two seasons, and whilst he clearly has some limitations at this level, his work rate is never questioned. We could be looking to Bradshaw and Romeny taking the lions share and give him a rest, although, like Cam, I'm sure he'd want to play, especially in Wales.

These games are not charity games or pre-season friendlies, and we should still be targeting as many points as possible. But resting a few and giving some youngsters a taste of being in the first team squad could be a benefit for all concerned.
