Matches 18/02/26 (6PM) - FA Youth Cup - Oxford United v Manchester United

They(man united) are just better than us better players better coaches
There is more chance of us taking one man united player on loan and them playing in our first team than one of our own actually getting on the pitch
But it’s basics. Our left back had just got injured/struggling to walk. The ref drops the ball to our keeper to restart the game, our keeper passes the ball to the left centre back who then in turn passes to our left back who’s being shutdown/recovery from the injury so wasn’t ready. From that point they get a corner and score!!

We don’t even try and keep the ball/play it simple which is similar to the first team!

Poor at set pieces too. I don’t understand why we don’t clear our lines e.g. put distance on the ball/make the opposition turn to retrieve the ball giving us time to re-group etc!

Hey ho!

It's evident that we are coaching a style of play throughout the club. You could replace the youth with the first team and see the same shortcomings in the execution of that style.
and its a bitshit too ( the style of play being coached)- I blame the DoF

though OUWFC/ yellow roses dont appear to be subjected to the rubbish style of play being coached into the mens/ male squads?

Think most clubs do this just in case of injuries crisis a youth player can step in and know the system

I think ajax started it many years ago
