Local Comedy Club - 5 comedians 7.30pm - 11pm - £12.
De Montfort Hall - John Lydon - 7.30pm - 10.30pm - £30.
The Musician (small gig venue) - Spear of Destiny - 8pm till 10.30pm - £11.

I`m with you on a bigger price differential and lower minimum to "get them hooked" - works for drug dealers. :ROFLMAO:
Local comedians are Abingdon Town level, Spear of Density are hasbeens who were always bad, so say Conference, and John Lydon is a washed up legend, so Championship - which makes our price about right.

I like the idea of a bigger price differential, i've said before the home end should be £20 max and unassigned seating with cash on the gate if wanted.

Unless you go to the Curzon on top of the Westgate. Scandalous. Saw the new Bond there last week and it was nearly thirty quid for two tickets. “At least they have a proper bar” I thought to myself, stupidly, before quickly realising that I was about to spend another £15 on two drinks. I’ve been saying that’s the Christmas present used up ever since, and now there’s a standoff over cleaning the bathroom. It has caused me nothing but grief. I wish you hadn’t brought it up to be honest.

I haven’t decided which of the two home games I will attend in the next week. It’ll depend how much I think the boys need firing up. I do like the Plymouth fans, mind. They’re completely insane.

Wow wow wow, no Curzon bashing here please. Best cinema experience I’ve had - wash your mouth out sir.

Might be slightly better than that............ https://www.joenright.com

SoD & JL I`ll give you but I`m still going! :)

Different sphere - destiny, DESTINY!

Some friends have stopped coming this season as the football alone isn’t enough to keep them and the kids entertained. They arrived early to park and previously enjoyed the quadrangle bar to watch live tv games before the big event. Sadly this hasn’t been available and they’ve got bored waiting for the game and no longer attend. I know without kids you can have other prematch options but as winter approaches how many more will this affect?

yes, in the East Stand the TV in the concourse nearest the South Stand side has not even been switched on for the past few games, I think the one on the North Stand side may have been on, but not sure. I also used to like getting in a bit early and watching the end of the lunchtime game with a beer, not sure what the problem is with the TVs now?

There is J's sports bar in the complex. Snooker, Pool, food and live football showing.

shame that its a soul less identikit bar, and on the second floor .... not for me thanks ..... I'm not interested in overpaid, PL, prima donnas ( who I have no affiliation to ) ,.... besides I like to have a ciggy with pre-match beers, if the mood takes, (cant do that from a second-floor bar- nor when the Quadrangle bar was in operation ) .... to each their own

When the priory was open it was great before the game you could get in there at lunchtime watch the football on the box if you wanted then take a slow walk over to the stadium now what you got Hollywood bowl not for me thanks and Js sports bar again nah if you go to the blackbird you have to leave 10 mins earlier than you did at the priory so for me now I watch the football on the tele with a couple of cans walk to the ground straight to my seat watch the football then go home and get a take away and have a few more beers boring really ent it

You might not be but I was suggesting a way to get his friends and kid's back to football ball , don't need your negative remarks or sad face !!!

Didn’t want to start any arguments, just adding to the comments about why our attendance figures don’t grow as we’d expect. Getting people to the game is one thing, getting them to come back is another.

Oh come on @rosieburns , why so tetchy? ....this is a forum, forums are about opinions ( arent they?) .... what is negative about saying something isn't for me and saying why it isn't? .... , and, I did also say 'to each their own'

And, I cant help how my face is, its the only one Ive got ;)

my 11 yo granddaughter comes to some home games with me, (she'd like to go more often too), shes more than happy to come to the 'bird* ( a proper pub) with me, and socialise/sit in on socialising, as in interacting with people- fellow OUFC supporters with pre match chat, and then walk to the ground........ like I said, ( to reiterate), to each their own.

*the 'bird does show various sport in the pub itself btw

So we are getting there on what is "missing", some of which is outside of our control, but I`m sure the supporter's panel will be on it to help. :)

And, strangely, we are back to Maslow again.
The Priory - food & shelter
Ticket pricing - resources.
The Ultras - love & belonging.

🤷‍♀️

PS: No drums, no bells...........
