As it a friendly I wouldn’t be against conceding a fair few with our current back 4 as it may prompt KR that extra % more to make defensive signings a priority.

Whilst I appreciate the need for new signings and earlier than now, being a glass half full kind of person I'm pleased that it does give KR the opportunity to give minutes to a few of the youngsters who we hope will be closer to the squad this time next year i.e. Golding, Goodrham, Davis etc. This will give him first hand experience of where they're at which must be easier to judge when playing in and around full squad players as opposed to U23/Youth games.

For the love of god I hope there’s something positive to take from todays game or I fear that some on here might just spontaneously combust. The kit, the performance, anything. Enjoy it for what it is, a pre season friendly, some new players, some missing, don’t read too much into it.

I was going to pay and watch this, but then with the team news I thought I'd save my money since it is just a fitness exercise and an opportunity for a few youngsters to have a bit of a go. I'll wait and see what what's occurring on Tuesday to see if that's worth paying for - if there are three new players and Taylor and Gorrin are back it probably will be.
