Sounds like Henry's injury is absolutely horrific. Not the nose that's broken but the skull above the nose! Never mind this season, an injury like that could end his career - although the fact he wasn't immediately rushed to hospital is hopefully a good sign?

Play well and lose and the usual posters are out saying that possession, xG etc mean nothing - it's all about the result.

Win today and the exact same lot are moaning about the performance!

If we lose, but played well and didn't deserve to lose, people will acknowledge that, but the stats mean nothing, we could've had 50 shots on goal, but not scored and lost.

If we win, but played badly and didn't deserve to win, people will acknowledge that, but the stats mean nothing, we could've had one shot on goal, but scored it and won.

On balance, we just about deserved to win today, but we were poor for most of the game, and could easily have lost, and a lot of that was due to the same problems that have plagued us all season, regardless of the stats.

For once, why don't you give an honest assessment of our performance, instead of running around, with you fingers in your ears, attacking anyone who criticises the team or the manager?

Were you this overprotective of Clotet, and his bunch of misfits?

Yeah I presume you’d say lower for him? I know he got taken off and drifted out of the game but I thought he was quite good. Maybe a 6 would have been more accurate

Think the heart has finally settled down to a near normal state to contribute something. Terrible performance from Stevens. Long has lost it at RB but seems a dependable CB, but we don't have another RB! Brown is a perfectly good LB, but playing LB demands a different level of fitness to playing CB and he doesn't have it yet so he is treading water towards the end of the game. It seems incredible that 3-0 up after 16 minutes and a few minutes later we are starting to dread the worst and it again nearly happened. Still have a chance...somehow. But we are an average side with glaring deficiencies in the team that have been obvious for almost 2 years but not addressed.

Yes we won and were great for the first 20-25 mins, but we also conceded two goals and got battered towards the end.

I don't think Brown was terrible today - he is physical and decent in the air, relatively composed and has a solid reading of the game (as evidenced by the one he got back to clear off the line).

But he is not a fullback. He's slow AF and not that fit, and is not going to be able to keep up with wingers running at him, especially when he's getting as little protection as he was getting from Sykes today. With Sam Long looking really shaky since he moved out to RB, and Seddon having been a bit of a defensive liability all season, we really don't have any good options at the fullback spots right now.

Honestly, if we kept everyone else from out current squad (not saying we'll be able to, but if we did) and just swapped out Hanson, Winnall and one of Holland/Whyte for two quality fullbacks and a solid defensive midfielder - I think we'd be in great shape for next year.

But we may well ship 60 goals this year - it's 56 already, and with two good teams to come, it seems probable.
As far as I can tell, the last team to concede 60+ in a year and still get promoted from the third tier was Peterborough in 2010/11 - and they had to score a frankly absurd 106 goals that season to do so.

We've simply got to sort it out at the back if we're serious about getting to the Championship.

I dunno what had happened to Stevens but he has lost everything that made him a very good keeper last season he needs taking out of the team for his own benefit I thinks
Long perhaps he's just knackered maybe he's suffering like Seddon has
Taylor is playing like a footballer that knows no matter how bad he can be he won't get dropped because nobody can replace him which isn't healthy
Anyway a good win (just) today keeps our season alive (just) for another game at least

Well, he got a goal and an assist. Anything less than 7 would seem a little harsh for an attacking player.
