It never be a problem. It only those with negative perspective that made it as problem![]()
Yeah me too - thought it was a really simple one until I saw the highlights.Just seek the highlights and what a different prospective of Dembeles goal, I thought he had snuck in at the far post and put it in didn’t realise he curled it past the keeper so well done Sakiri just hope you kick on and prove me and others wrong and you’re a luxury we could do with out well done
Possible but still prejudiceI understand why you say that but it’s religious discrimination rather than racism that the Watford supporter was demonstrating when he suggested that Muslim players should not be selected during Ramadan.
Sorry..Hate the word.' snuck'..don't know why..sneaked?is the wordJust seek the highlights and what a different prospective of Dembeles goal, I thought he had snuck in at the far post and put it in didn’t realise he curled it past the keeper so well done Sakiri just hope you kick on and prove me and others wrong and you’re a luxury we could do with out well done
QPR first half were horrendous, and I still struggle to believe we ended up losing 2-0!I still think QPR were the worst side we played this year. The fact we lost 2-0 was neither here nor there — it was our worst performance.
Have to say, that does make me wince. And I’m not keen on the Rosie getting the crowd going, please don’t do this against the likes of Leeds, Sheffield Utd, very embarrassing!!
3 at the back with Leigh and Ter Vest as wing backs...remember how Boros front line ripped us apart at home...we cant ignore that.Or he went for a different set-up at home, where we’ve been strong this season, than he did in the last couple of away games, where we’ve been noticeably week?
I expect that anyone expecting the same team to start against Boro might be in for a shock.
Me too!!Have to say, that does make me wince.
At least they no longer have Latte Lath.
Yeah, I don't think we're going to see Romeny for a few games after today.....at least in the starting lineup. He was anonymous, and we immediately picked up when Tyler replaced him.
Reckon it'll be Placheta-Tyler-Dembele behind Harris against the weaker teams, and Placheta-Matos-Dembele/Tyler behind Harris against the stronger teams going forwards.
Vaulks-Brannagan behind them.
The biggest question is what happens at the back. If Greg Leigh is back in time for Boro (as it sounds like he will be), we'll have a lot of decent options for the back four, even without our skipper.
Hmm not sure I agree. Romeny had a poor game, but in recent matches he's been one of if not our biggest threat.
Swansea are only 2 points above us.Thought the back4/5 were terrific again especially after Nelson went off and we had to shuffle things around.
Feared the worst especially losing Moore on Wednesday.
Ter Avest was superb and Nelson gives us that rarity of a player who is comfortable bringing the ball out of defence.
Apart from a couple of blips, our defence has been outstanding all season especially when we don’t have anyone up front who can hold the ball. They are under constant pressure especially so in away games.
Now if we can beat QPR at home and get maybe a point from Leeds Sheffield Utd and Sunderland which won’t be easy that will get us to 46 points. We then need to get four more draws away maybe 3 but the main thing is our last away games is at Swansea who will be safe by then and if we need to beat anyone away that will be our best chance

46pts might not be enough based on results this week. Swansea are also slipping right back into danger and they have some very tricky final few games. Portsmouth's cushion was 10pts a week ago and now it is down to 4 so it's very easy for teams to fall into trouble especially with so many playing each other. I think 48pts will be the required target and I actually fancy a win against Sunderland who will hopefully be distracted by their playoffs. Maybe the manager will rotate and rest or try something new and it'll work in our favour. They were complacent yesterday at Coventry so out of all the big teams, they could be the ones to beat. Now if we can beat QPR at home and get maybe a point from Leeds Sheffield Utd and Sunderland which won’t be easy that will get us to 46 points. Hope so!Read my post again regarding points required
Think Swansea will be safe b the time we play them
I think I replied to a similar comment you made elsewhere - is there any actual statistical evidence to back up the 'on the beach' comment or is it just a vague notion? In my experience teams rarely roll over because they have nothing to play for. Middling teams often upset promotion and relegation candidates - free of pressure, professional pride, local rivalries, playing for a new contract, any number of reasons really.Hope so!
It looks like we’ll be hoping one or two teams are “on the beach” when we play them (or comfortably embedded in the playoffs)

The Athletic did something on this Q a while back for the Premier League but with some pretty simplistic metrics. If I remember right the conclusion was 'not much difference' Ultra-elite leagues are a bit of an outlier in any case because big per-game and final-league-position bonuses are designed to focus player's minds away from Dubai in March and April.I think I replied to a similar comment you made elsewhere - is there any actual statistical evidence to back up the 'on the beach' comment or is it just a vague notion? Remember the last game the season before last, against Accrington? We were safe and the players brought their kids out before the game. We took the lead but eased off and they got two late goals.I think I replied to a similar comment you made elsewhere - is there any actual statistical evidence to back up the 'on the beach' comment or is it just a vague notion? Similarly, when we crept into the playoffs 20/21 wasn't it mid table Accrington who helped us with a last day win at Pompey? The point I was making is that hoping teams are already 'on the beach' isn't as simple as that.Always remember our promotion must win game v Wycombe for the first half they looked comfortable knocking the ball about without looking too threatening. Once we scored they couldn’t wait to get off the pitch
Damn you got me there. The conclusion is that they *can* be on the beach, but you can't rely on it. Probably best not to bring the kids out until after the game, anyway.Similarly, when we crept into the playoffs 20/21 wasn't it mid table Accrington who helped us with a last day win at Pompey? If we were away at Pride Park the teams would be lining up for kick-off while on the beach. Unfortunately this is going to give Derby an advantage of familiarity in their remaining home games.Unless they are actually physically on the beach.
In that scenario we would be awarded three points for a no-show I think.
