Totally agree. Brannagan is still hugely important to us ( had he played Wednesday, it is pretty unlikely we wouod have lost in my view).Final thought on today - although he doesn't dominate games at this level the way he did in League One - we are so much more solid when Cam's in the team.
For as good as he was for 70 minutes on Wednesday, Matos then dropped clangers for both of the goals because he was out of gas.....something that never ever happens with Brannagan (not saying he never makes mistakes - but his engine never seems to run down). And I think Vaulks plays better when he's got Cam alongside (he was absolutely terrific today).
If they're both fit and available, I'm just writing Vaulks and Cam onto our teamsheet for the next eight games already. With Matos getting occasional games in front of them against the top teams (maybe Boro, but definitely Sheffield United and Leeds)
To be fair, Brannagan was more effective today, because the players around him were also .Totally agree. Brannagan is still hugely important to us ( had he played Wednesday, it is pretty unlikely we wouod have lost in my view).
Thank goodness he was fit to play today.
Atmosphere was pretty good on the whole.Awful game of football, awful atmosphere, but 3 points!
Special mention to Goodrham who I thought was excellent - very industrious and showed a willingness to get on the ball and make things happen. Hopefully a sign of a return to form.
Don't even want to think about what that meansDingle handedly
They have certainly been playing like it- 4 losses out of last five is itWe could do with QPR to be on the beach by the time we play them. Wednesday definitely will be. Sunderland could well be resting players by the time we face them. Those games against mid table teams or play off certs are real opportunities as a season is concluding.
Yeah, I don't think we're going to see Romeny for a few games after today.....at least in the starting lineup. He was anonymous, and we immediately picked up when Tyler replaced him.
Reckon it'll be Placheta-Tyler-Dembele behind Harris against the weaker teams, and Placheta-Matos-Dembele/Tyler behind Harris against the stronger teams going forwards.
Vaulks-Brannagan behind them.
The biggest question is what happens at the back. If Greg Leigh is back in time for Boro (as it sounds like he will be), we'll have a lot of decent options for the back four, even without our skipper.

Calculated risk. Genius.Just seen the highlights and for their guys second yellow, Plahetta is signaling for a card!!!!!
Could have got a second himself!
You are joking ?Atmosphere was pretty good on the whole.
We’ll play 3 CBs against Boro, surely? Helik in the middle, with Nelson and Brown either side of him, and then Leigh and Ter Avest as wing backs.
Would be really surprised to see the same line-up as today away at a top 8 side, especially as we’ll have (hopefully!) more round pegs for the round holes than we had at Norwich.
Won’t be near 50 to stay up.We'll need 50 at least to stay up though.
You are joking ?
No streaming site is working so it might be the feed from the stad
Which games are we going to win?I dunno - you think Derby, Stoke & Cardiff are all going to pick up half the points they have remaining? Or Luton will win 5 from 8, or Plymouth 6 from 8? Because that's what it'll take to go down with 50.
It's hard to predict with so many teams involved, and so many games remaining, but right now I'd wager 48/49 will probably be safe. Couple more wins and we should be good.
Nope. I guess it depends where you are in the ground but from me in the North it generally sounded good from East and North. You are joking ?
The blockages on lanes/roundabout are horrendous, think they actually cause more issuesOnly downer on the day was the time it took to get as far as the mini works roundabout , horrendous.
Soon as Dembele scored chap next to me said 'bet the sponsors give him man of the match',
So relieved with that result, especially the way other teams have picked up a bit.
Also glad there's a break till the next game
QPR at home, Cardiff away?Which games are we going to win?
