Just woken up in the Shire. I think it’s going to be very important for the crowd to get behind the team right from the start, any edginess or angst in the stands will soon transmit to the pitch. We’re just about to enter “mustwinland”, Watford are not as strong away from home but we do look quite fragile. Hoping we can scrape any sort of win, I don’t care how we get there, it would give such an enormous boost to everyone.
COYY

We’re 5th across the top four divisions when it comes to the discrepancy between home ppg and away ppg. We average more than a point a game *more* at home than away.

If we play well, we’ll more likely than not get something out of this.

This is from Football Rates, a website I’m a massive fan of having discovered it 7 minutes ago, as they also reckon that Hull, Portsmouth, Derby Luton, Swansea and Cardiff all have tougher run-ins based on their opposition’s ppg for the rest of the season.

Heart the players respond brilliantly to a kick up the backside from Rowett after Wednesday’s disappointment.
2-0, Romeny, Ter Avest.

Head looks at our form, plus the absence of Moore and Brannigan, a point at best.
We were missing both last season and we took Peterborough apart 5-0 so let’s have the same again today

Let’s create a big atmosphere ( like we did that day)

Let’s have some belief
3-1 the sun is shining I’m feeling positive

3 wins needed, biggest game of the season by far lets make this the first ,just a massive game 2-1 play like we did the lat 20 minutes on Wednesday we have a chance

So my wife knowing the kind of position we'd be in at this stage of the season has helpfully booked me on a flight to Malta an hour before kick off.

So whether I like it or not I won't have the trauma of watching the game this afternoon (aside from the off chance of seeing one of Brown's errant clearances up at 35,000 feet).

Have to say that around this time last season we had Moore and Brannagan out injured and we played Peterborough at home. I feared the worst knowing we had to win to even have a chance of the playoffs, we won 5-0
Not saying that will happen today, but sometimes other players step up.
On the negative side, the player that stepped up was Josh Murphy and we don’t have anyone close to him in this squad.
But a sneaky 1-0 will do

Well, if lucky omens are anything, our safari guide was excited that we saw a mongoose first thing and was over the moon when we spotted a tiger!
Made our day, and his.
Did it not concern you that a safari guide was over the moon you actually saw a few animals on a safari?!
I’d question how legitimate this safari is that you’ve gone on 😅

Let's have it today, let's not give satisfaction to those podcasters, lazy journalists and those who oppose OUFC locally by going down.

I love the championship and I want to stay. I want to go to St. Mary's, the King Power stadiums and Portman Road next season.

I'm not the only one I'm sure. It'll be tough for our lads over the next 9 games and they'll need us today.

Nervous, but a little optimistic we can find “something” today.

Somehow we’ve got to find a way to recreate that Blackburn performance and we’ll hold our own against most teams. Easier said than done without CB and our current lopsided defence.

Lots of (understandable) negativity after Wednesday, but if we get a result and the rest fall for us then things will be back to looking “OK”…

The other player to "step up" in that Peterborough game was Josh McEachan (Spelling?) he must be somewhere in the building, a good manager must be able to use Josh, somehow, to improve the current dire situation.

Going on the Brian Talbot - Jodie Jones tourist trail?

There’s a lot of positivity on here. We played very negatively on Wednesday but still could have got something out of the game. Unfortunately we are being found out too easily and the lack of a goalscoring forward is making it difficult for us. I can’t see where a win comes today and if we do win it’ll be a narrow win.
The loss of Cameron and Elliot…just as his presence was starting to make a difference will make any essukt difficult for us.
The plus side is that Watford like us are in freefall and maybe we can get their manager the sack by getting three points.
Heart says 2-1 to us but head says 0-0 and squeaky bum time

I also now love the site. It’s amazing that after 59 seasons, having scored and conceded thousands of goals, our goal difference is currently -11 !! Come on lads let’s score/concede +11 this season, stay up and put our lifetime GD at parity!

I know it can be the natural tendency of the football to focus on the negative, but I'd rather be in our position than those below us.

Form at this stage of the season fluctuates (just ask Pompey), so even those teams that have got a couple of wins are still behind us and can they really expect to keep winning or will their wave pass?

Likewise, there are still plenty of games to go so plenty of time for form to go up or down for everyone

We've just got to keep going, not let things play on our minds, and those points will come - whether it's a win or two or one by one Manning style.

Have faith, we're going to do this
