The Final Moments

A big round of applause for the councillor who called for a named vote. It just showed who was supporting the development. If it had not been a named vote, then we may not have seen 3 abstentions.
It was the councilor who's mum needs to get from Banbury to the JR. Well played!

Wonderful news.

For those who didn’t watch the planning committee for four and a half hours (for some reason!) here’s the final two minutes and 50 seconds of the point that mattered.

“Stand by your beds!”

Mods, feel free to pin that in this and the main Triangle thread so people can watch it on repeat!!

14-1 will be our best score line all season, no matter what happens between now and May.

We’re going home, ladies and gentlemen 💛💙

That ‘yes we’ve got it’ is brilliant 🤣

Does this really mean we are going to have a stadium with four stands a stadium not covered in bird s**t a stadium with hot water in the taps a stadium that doesn't stink of sewage

I'm bloody buzzing tonight over the moon

Finally Oxford united will have a home we can be proud of a home we can call home

The laughs after Mawson abstained and her face, brilliant!
She sort of half turned around as if she was going to explain (I assume to Purple shirt) after delivering her vote.

I guess if he kicks off - and god knows what he must be like to live with - she can tell him that by abstaining she was showing that she remained cautiously neutral!! :O

Mawson didn’t like that chuckle did she 🤣

The biggest result for this football club in the 40 years I've been a supporter.
Too emotional to type anything else.
Now the opportunity to become a top 30 club has opened up. Today is a huge day. I was pessemistic about the likely result but sanity prevailed in the end. I suspect the argument that an appeal would be a huge cost to Cherwell Council was persuasive.
