The Final Moments

Finding it quite overwhelming to think that the future of our club hangs in the balance of a council meeting this afternoon! This really is make or break, and we will know one way or another within the next few hours!

Here's hoping it is a good day for the club and we get the approval that we so desperately need!! COYY ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›

Let's gooo! Good luck to us all and a huge thank you to everyone who has created and will fund these plans, those whobhave sent emails to various council reps, expressed support on the planning portal and those who keep tearing down NIMBY arguments!
We've got this - COYY ๐Ÿ’›

Feeling so nervous now, these next few hours are going to drag

I donโ€™t think party politics will come into this. Having engaged with councillors for a long time, I know of supporters from all parties (including Greens) and opposition likewise.

The vast majority will make their decision based on the evidence in front of them, which is why they haven't openly declared a position. And the evidence is overwhelmingly in support of planning approval, as shown by the Planning Officers recommendation.

Personally, I don't think anything is to be gained by second guessing any individual votes at this stage. We can do that after the decision has been made, when I believe that this will all be immaterial.

Posted this on the other thread. But I wouldn't read too much into the party politics of this. I think it will be more location driven with those from KPC voting against with others more supportive.

I have no doubt that planning will be approved, this will be more about setting various conditions than rejecting it out of hand. The frustrating thing is that Ridge and the club have been willing to work with all parties from day dot, and any conditions could have been addressed by now if only some of these had engaged.

Cool heads will prevail.

This will go down as the most important day in our history.

To the Councillors voting today, be on the right side of history & follow the professional recommendation you have been given.

COYY.
I cant believe how much is at stake here. So many relationships, so much history, so many health benefits (mental health as well as physical), so many economic benefits, community benefits, togetherness at stake in a society that is increasingly alone. There can be no other answer than a yes to approval. The fact that the alternative can even be considered genuinely scares the sh*t out of me.

Hello All, long time reader / lurker on the forum and decided to post on this momentous of days I have been a season ticket holder for 39 years and loved and still miss The Manor to this day but hopefully in a few hours we will be a massive step closer to getting a ground we can be proud of.
Come on you yellows and letโ€™s get this done

It is disgusting that there is even any doubt.

Pathetic bunch of individuals.

Great day to post your first message. Hope there are many more to come from you following a positive decision tonight.

Best route is thru Kidlington ๐Ÿ˜‚. so Give Ian Middleton a wave โ€ฆ.M40 blocked at Banbury and heavy delays to Junction 11, then Banbury via Brackley
