14/03/2026 - MDT: Oxford United v Charlton Athletic

We've only got ourselves to blame ,bad man management, the best way of defending is to attack ,this was a massive opportunity missed. But we are within a chance ,Portsmouth away is going to huge plus we probably need 3 wins from 4 home games .Let's keep up the pressure next week

Sorry not read all the pages but :

1. If the referee sets the bar very high for free kicks then adapt, don’t moan about it heels change. He has that reputation already he’s not going to kindly oblige a character shift

2. How does our nice young lad on the left wing not get hauled at half time? For confidence ? He was shot already and 20 minutes more just made it worse. But more importantly rectifying his mistakes cost our team a lot of energy

3. Why no high press today ? We let Charlton play out from the back so easily and they’re clearly not a competent ball playing defence. Very disappointing after recent weeks successes with that tactic

4. Why were the crowd so flat? Sounded amazing midweek but today it was strangely quiet especially with 15-20 to go and a lead. Stan mills, lanks, Donley and cam were putting in such a massive shift and needed the 12th man

Disappointing twist today. At one point we were three points clear of relegation now back in it with the small margins. Hey ho we go again and there is hope

Ps Stan mills is a revelation and the key to us staying up

Millwall have only two wins over Blackburn in the last 21 matches between the two sides.

We got unlucky with the Hull and Millwall sendings off but that Leicester result is really bad - they’ll have seen that as their easiest remaining game. Still a way to go though it’s gonna be tough! We need another amazing unexpected win.

That sitting back bollox cost us today! Bloomfield said he learnt at Luton, but I question that based upon the last 2 home games with the last 15-20mins tactics. It just encourages teams on you. Yeah, we got lucky at home to Blackburn, but not today. It’s a risk we don’t/didn’t need to take, especially if we’re not under the cosh. Shame really.

Or the 2 dropped that sends us down!

Shy the hell Bloomfield sets us up to drop so deep in the latter stages is beyond me, especially when I felt we started to push on them just beforehand!
I think it's fair to questions the way he does it, but if you can't understand why we're trying to protect what we have then I'm not sure it can be explained to you.

What chance Leicester winning their appeal against the points deduction?

Let's not get to down over today we cant win them all
Strange twist of fate from the midweek games
Leicester won Tuesday lost today

Wba drew Wednesday due to last minute equaliser but won today

We won Wednesday but drew today because of a last minute equaliser

Blackburn lost Wednesday but won today

So we have ended the week in a better position than we started it

We are in good shape
