From a sports science perspective, I assume that a long drive back to London on Wednesday night and then playing an away game on Saturday at 12.30 will be a disadvantage ( there were some stats that 2 away games in a row make it far more difficult)
For Charlton it is no longer a '6 pointer'.
If we are asking solid as we have been and take our chances, we have a good chance to move out of the bottom 3

Another huge game. I've just had a quick look and there's lots of seats available. If you can be there, get a ticket and get behind the team.
Also doesn't look like the ticket exchange is open. As we are already at Thursday with lots of general sale available, I don't think it needs to be opened.

An Oxford goal in front of the East stand would be nice, the last one was Goodrham's wonderful strike against Southampton on Boxing Day.

In fact, if my memory serves me right, we have only scored 5 goals all season in our favoured goal.

Would assume we'll make a couple of changes for this due to fatigue. I wonder who will come in.

Think this game will be the hardest of our last four, hopefully our momentum will drive us to another win, will Charlton have the enough? Especially after travelling, recovery time and light training, ready for a 12:30 KO on the Saturday. They may tire towards the end.

On today's The Dub George said they rested their entire back four as they weren't targetting points last night but were against us.

Interesting. Can't help but feel that level of mish mashing at this stage of the season, especially in the back line, even more so with the unexpected win they got could be to our advantage. Ok, it worked for them at Boro but could easily be negative from a cohesion or morale point of view. Conversely our ability to finally land on a settled side in the nick of time is having big benefits

Quick turnarounds for both teams, but preferable for us without all that added travel time.

Be interesting to see how they approach it - go all out for a win to get to 50 points quickly, or decide that away draws and home wins are the safer bet to achieve that?

Just hope we take the game to them like we did for the first 60 or so minutes last night. 4 in a row would be incredible, but it feels doable...2-1, Lanks and Mills...

If I can be pedantic for a moment, the goal yesterday was in front of the East Stand. Granted it was a long way in front of it, but in front all the same.

@Stanford yellow and I were remarking on this last night, good to have a number on it, there hasn't been many in front of the East Stand!

Feel like we need 4/5 points from the next 3, and another win here would be a great start.

While this doesn't feel quite like the six pointer it looked like it'd be a couple of weeks ago, it's still a real opportunity to carry our good form in to tough games at Southampton and against Hull.

2-1 Oxford.

Say thank you - I’ve missed the last three games! I will miss Saturday as well.

This will undoubtedly be the hardest of the last four games but we’re capable of getting a result. The only doubt is whether players need resting or not.

I'd rather be playing a Charlton side who 'feel a bit safer' than one desperate for every last point. As we keep saying 'fine margins'.
I think you’re right. Also reckon Sheffield W will be tough, as they’ve got nothing to play for

Kind of feel we have to treat this one as a must win game, just as we did West Brom and Blackburn.

We're still going to need to find a few more wins, and this is one of the most obvious opportunities. Charlton are doing great, but they are near bottom in the league in almost every attacking statistical measure (Possession, Shots, Shots on Target, the dreaded xG etc. etc.). They are not a great attacking side, just really good at digging in and grinding out a 1-0 win.

Think this could be quite attritional, Charlton love the low block. The stats for their game against Middlesborough were nuts. May well just set up not to lose which suits them.

Lets hope the journey and effort put into Boro helps us.
