Thought I might take the liberty of starting this MDT, as tomorrow will be my first game of the season and, judging from the reviews so far, I can't wait!

Hoping to see Agyei and Moore start, and also hoping to see a bit of Woodburn for the first time. Posh will presumably play a strong team, as they look to get their first team minutes so they can gel.

2-1 OUFC, Agyei at the double in a scintillating home debut.

Would like to get Mackie a rest. With his age, work rate and injury history, I'm not sure I want him playing twice a week this early in the season.
Problem is - if not him, who else plays up front? Be great if it was Agyei, but sounds like he may need some more time before he's game ready.
May have to be someone (Woodburn? Napa?) playing a slightly unnatural position.

Then on the flip side, I'd like to get Forde, Moore, Sykes, Long & Hanson a game - make sure they're all sharp and up to match speed.

Perhaps something like the following?

Eastwood
Long Dickie Moore Ruffels
Hanson Gorrin
Henry Sykes Forde
Woodburn

Maybe Rob Hall instead of Henry as well, if he's up to 90 minutes.

Still a good side.....but turning it into something of a 1b vs. 1b contest......

Heard P’boro are again spending g a good for k’s by using an Oxford hotel, (same as Friday and Saturday just gone) for day sleeps and pre match meal..

Maybe Berkoe for Ruffels or Henry with Forde switching to the right if Henry.

Would love to see all the players who haven’t had a chance yet to start.

Stevens
McMahon Jones Moore
Sykes Hanson too soon for Baptiste?
Hall and Agyei
Taylor:-)

I hope Agyei plays, same as most others, I'd like to see some of the squad players getting a game:

Eastwood
Long Dickie Moore Berkoe
Hanson Sykes
Forde Brannagan Hall
Agyei

Bench: Stevens, Jones, Lofthouse, Mackie, Fosu, Woodburn, Gorrin

Replace Agyei with Woodburn up front to see how he gets on. Even better put Taylor up top if he's sneakily signed :)

Wouldn't disagree with this team at all, except maybe Henry in the no.10 role with Sykes on the right.

It's important to keep a little momentum so there's no point putting out an entire reserve side, but Sam Long, Elliott Moore, Jamie Hanson, Mark Sykes and Robbie Hall can all come in and play their part and it will give them a chance to stake a claim for coming games.

I'd love to see Ben Woodburn get a run as striker or in a free role, and to get a goal or two. He is some player and a little confidence could see him blow this league apart!

Away team costs covered by gate receipts for cup games, if memory serves?

If we can’t win with our ‘fringe’ players why are they even at the club?

Our first XI have just played a game two days ago. And the only youth players in that are Berkoe and Napa, both of who are good enough I believe.
Personally, I don't think Napa has enough for a L1 team (yet) from what I've seen of him.

I'd rest Mackie and bring in Moore, definitely. The first XI have played just twice together, (and not in any friendlies due to late arrivals) so I'd rather they had competitive games together to hone the teamwork at this point.
