Same batting display as previous matches
Yes, because it's the same batsmen with the same lack of technique against the same superior bowlers. Very groundhog day!Same batting display as previous matches
Woakes & Curran replaced Roy and Overton ... but in the greater scheme, yes same batsmen, same lack of test match batting application.... against reasonably decent bowlersYes, because it's the same batsmen with the same lack of technique against the same superior bowlers. Very groundhog day!
Woakes and Curran are numbers 7 and 8 - by the time they get in (as all rounders) you'd hope the specialist batsmen might have made it a bit easier for them!Woakes & Curran replaced Roy and Overton ... but in the greater scheme, yes same batsmen, same lack of test match batting application.... against reasonably decent bowlers
indeed .... now Archer gone, the collapse continues ... Leach in now 226-8 .... will England scrape a 250 total? will England still be batting at close of play today?Woakes and Curran are numbers 7 and 8 - by the time they get in (as all rounders) you'd hope the specialist batsmen might have made it a bit easier for them!

2x consecutive maximums from Buttler ... who like the rest of the England batsmen is in white ball/ limited overs batting mentality... in a test match
Two wickets remaining..?8 overs 'short '/ light on day one! ... surprisingly England survive (with just the one wicket remaining) the first day 271-8 , with the usual top order dismissed cheaply , middle order collapse and the tail digging in doggedly
Is there anything more frustrating than watching England bat?! Just not good enough. The Aussie bowling attack is good but we’re just giving them wickets. We won’t make 250 today on a wicket that should’ve reaped 300 at least.
You should know after Headingley how crap my predictions are when I’m in sulk mode.. ?Won’t we? The good thing about cricket is it ain’t over til it’s over. Hopefully Buttler can carry on tomorrow morning and we can make 300+ in the first innings, which isn’t the end of the world
Oops ....maths not my thingTwo wickets remaining..?
