According to NTT20 podcast, Donny like to keep it tight on the road, so don't concede many but don't score too many either. However, we've been very good at home recently, both offensively and defensively, so assuming the defence have got lapses in concentration out of their system after Tuesday, I think we should be able to win this reasonably comfortably. I think we'll have more difficulty picking the lock than usual, with Woodbury out and Baptiste's slight dip in form, but should come away with a narrow win. 1-0, Henry from the spot.

Afternoon folks. Only 7 games in L1 today, Burton v Bolton and Sunderland v Fleetwood postponed for reasons unknown to me. Anybody know why?

Today the mighty Yellows are going to be in magnificent form again and take a 2-0 win from a Doncaster team who play it tight away from home.

COME ON YOU YELLOWS

Only 6 subs?? Down to the bare bones time, and its only October? Lots of talk of an out of contract player, we need someone in now it seems.

Illness struck the squad, and if our U18s didn't have a game this morning, some of them would have been able to step into this squad.

Not disagreeing that we should probably look into a short term top-up.

Shame Taylor is out but the team is good and like KR is saying on the phone now, the bench is also strong. Tough game today though. 3pts would be marvelous!.
2-1 Fosu and Henry

Was the virus known about last night? If so, it seems like one of the u18s could have been taken out of this mornings fixture to take a place on the bench this afternoon.

U23’s?? Surely would have been beneficial to get one of them in and around the match day squad for experience, even if no chance of getting on. Not sure it sends the right message to them.

Can’t see us winning the game today. With the injuries we’ve had on top of upcoming suspensions we’ll be hovering around mid table at best. Every season seems to be the same problems with injuries, not sure if it’s bad luck or just were recruiting injury prone players.

Taylor out is a massive blow. Means were dependent on midfield for goals again.

Still think well do it. 2-1 oxford.

That's the spirit.

U18s lost 1-0 away at Newport earlier today .... U18s missed a pen (Crook) in the first half, after being in contol for the first 40 mins conceded just before half time. Young Us kept pressing throughout 2nd half but couldnt find a way to score

U18s team from earlier :-
Evans, Gardner (Barnett-Grant), Elechi, Sole, Milton, Jones, Goodrham, Lopes, Crook, Chambers-Parillon, Ferguson (Johnson)

Unused subs: Brearey, Owens

surprised Lofthouse or a similarly promising member of U23 squad wasnt called on for the vacant space on todays first team bench
