Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but Rowett made a few mistakes with selections against QPR. The first half was the worst 45 mins we’ve played at home this season, made even worse by the importance of the match and the excellent previous team performance against Sheffield Utd. Mentally and physically the whole team looked way off.

Now the dilemma for Rowett is who needs a rest, who can’t we afford to rest and who’s fit to start.

The reaction and performance from the players will be very important, who’s going to hold their hand up and grab the game by the scruff of the neck, who’s going to lead by example, where’s that little bit of quality when needed going to come from?

If Rowett is forced to make changes (Brown and Ter Avest) he may be wary about making too many others, but there has to be a case (if fit) to start Bradshaw and Mills, plus Rodrigues and Matos too. That’s 6 changes to the previous strting XI, but I can’t see Rowett making that many changes.

Let’s see.

Do we have the players available to play 5 at the back like we did at Norwich? I guess that option has gone out the window with Brown’s injury.

We’re at that time of the season when every squad in the championship is starting to see the knocks, and injuries build up. Unfortunately most other squads have the strength in depth to cope with it. GR must be looking around and wondering how he can put a team out on the pitch and still have decent options on the bench. Ultimately it could be the lack of depth in the squad that will be our undoing. Questions will then need to be asked around why the hell we didn’t fill our full quota of 25 players?

You could play long at cb play Bennett as left wing back pk at right wing back

I so wish that I could share your confidence Sarge, but sadly I can't see us getting anything today.
But, hey, I'm more than willing to be proven wrong.
As long as one of derby or Cardiff lose we don't have to win call it blind faith but we have to win away at some point and I always feel we have a good record there

Hope Cummings has a better game today plus many of the players
At least a point today
I know we only really expected 3 points from last 2 games but the way it turned out was a bit demoralising, but time to put things right today

The aim should be to stay unbeaten in our last 3 away matches. That in itself would be enough to keep us up, never mind the two home matches with the final home game against a team who will be focused on the playoffs 🤞
