I went to Boothferry Park in the 1989-90 season. It was a freezing day and there were about 150 of us there on a terrace behind a Kwik Save supermarket.

1-1 draw. I don’t think either team will want to lose it and do it’ll become more and more cagey as the game goes on.

Really hope we start with a purpose to go and win the game. I’d like to see the same set up as at Norwich with Romeny playing through the middle + 1 (Harris I guess, after he scored).

Leaving the shire at 1.30. It really does feel like a big night. COYY’s!

Been hard to predict a Rowett squad this season — who saw Chemy at left wingback?

I'll take pelters for this (rightly so) but...

Cumming
Ter Avest Helik Moore Brown
Matos Vaulks
Placheta Romeny Dembele
Sparky

Not optimistic; cagey and messy affair. Not done this ground.

Indeed there was, Alan Fettis brought on as a sub up front and promptly scored. That was a quiet trip home...

Bizarrely, a second goalkeeper scored against us that season. Roger Freestone scored a penalty for Swansea in our home game against them.

There are trickier looking opportunities for points this season so this one really has to be targeted for something. A point wouldn’t be a disaster but I feel we really do have to go for it tonight.

Pressure game.

Agreed. They’ve got the worst home record in the division, and while our away record is pretty shocking, we need to be looking for a win here. Nobody should be going there with a ‘take a point’ mentality.

We've seen Portsmouth get a great win against Leeds and Derby get a great win against Coventry.

Tonight we see Portsmouth (42 pts) at home to Plymouth, Watford at home to Swansea (44 pts), Stoke (36 pts) at home to Blackburn.

And of course, Hull are on 37 pts.

We could really do with bagging a win in this huge six pointer to keep the pressure on those around us and to get us to 42 pts.

1-3 ... feeling it tonight.

...today's man in the middle has awarded at least one penalty and one red card in every OUFC game he has stood

Great, so we need to score at least 2 to get a win, or Cumming saves another Pen.

Given, that we don't have a left back, then 3 at the back with wing backs, would seem the obvious formation, but we probably don't need to be as defensive against Hull as we did against Norwich.

Cumming,
Ter Avest, Helik, Moore, Brown, Placheta,
Vaulks, Brannagan,
Ruben,
Romeny, Harris

Nooooo

Placheta isn't a defender, and I'm not sure Ruben is an anything at this level. However, without a left back anything we come up with be flawed.

Would just like us to start a little bit more on the front foot today. So many matches recently we've looked so lackadaisical and tepid in the first ten minutes. Whether the instruction has been 'keep it tight for the first ten' it definitely hasn't worked like that and we keep handing the initiative to the opposition.

Be a bit bolder and then can settle into the game plan when we've got a foothold in the match.

Given that Brannagan has been better than Vaulks both over the whole season, as well as in the last 5-10 games, it would be an odd choice to do it that way around…
