I didn't like Des's interview much either.....I get he is trying to stay positive but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade and say we were just crap! Which we were. Totally and utterly. And that's more worrying.

Saturday is massive now, we can’t keep writing off games as only so many we have a chance of winning in this league. Buckingham has to figure out a way to make us more of a force going forward, at the moment we have no threat.

We are not down yet, not even in the relegation zone so no one should be giving up on it, but we can’t keep doing the same stuff that has been completely figured out, need to freshen it up.

I’m not sure about this. If today is the “Bolton moment”, how many “Bolton moments” should Des get away with? How long do you wait for the “Bolton moment” before you make a change?

We were hoping Middlesbrough was it. Now we’re hoping this is it. I’m very worried that there’s not going to be another one.

Perhaps I need to sleep on it, but I think we’re going down with Des in charge.
It’s certainly a result/performance to sleep on but right now things aren’t looking good and is Des the man for a relegation fight?

I know many want Des to say what we're all thinking, but I'm happy he doesn't resort to publicly throwing players under the bus like KR did

A lot of fans thought at the time that it was a great summer window. It certainly looked that way in early September…..

…..but now? Other than Nelson and maybe Dembele (who we were unlucky got hurt), none of the other summer signings actually look up to regular Championship football.
Our best players over the course of the season so far were all in the building last winter (Cumming, Brown, Moore, Cam & Tyler)

It’s all very well saying that we need a great January window. But do we really have the budget or the staff at this level to deliver one?

Though I ain’t going to cry if we do go back down. I’m sure it’s been better for you that can go to all the away grounds for the first time in decades but for an exile watching, the last three months have not been much fun
I think that before tonight Kioso has been one of our best players this season.
He has looked Championship level- if you ignore today- his worst performance some distance

That was pretty grim. QPR are a poor team at this level. But second half, they just walked through us. Afraid I just can't see how we'll stay up. Just lack the quality. Giving away cheap possession, lack of pace, out muscled on nearly every 50/50. I worry about the Leeds match. A heavy defeat (6-0 +) and confidence will be really shot. I can just about stomach Sheffield United pulling us to pieces, as they'll probably be in the PL next season. But QPR were so poor. I'd like to think of something positive to say about the way we played tonight, but I just can't.

He isn't going to is he-he isn't a Rooney who calls his players out but not making a comment on how he feels says it all.

Blissfully home already as I live in central London.

The only silver lining out of a horrible evening. Away pubs s**t. Ground not even that fun because we’ve done it recently. And a performance that I’m still trying to decide whether or not merits the worst I’ve seen in my recent memory. Runs Gas at home under KR in 2023 close.

They beat Norwich 3 0 Saturday and 0 2 at Cardiff.
They have now not conceded in 5 games
We were very poor but my view is that QPR and incredibly well organised and very good defensively.
And here was I thinking today was meant to be one of our target games ffs.

It's absolutely time for DB to throw some f*cks about and get the players on his side because it looks to me that some are having a easy peasy ride out there.

I think this could be the Bolton moment.

A note on some of the fans today too.

Cheering when Placheta was subbed and singing the ‘we’ve got the ball chant’.

Support the team or don’t come to games.

Agree…

I’m proper pissed off, but this sort of behaviour toward players is totally unacceptable, regardless of how we feel.

I know some people will look at the result and say it was rubbish and everything. It is and there’s no getting away from that.

However, for large portions of that game, we were in control. The whole first half was Oxford playing it around QPR. Phillips got in good positions, Goodrham did too, Brannagan had time to turn and play the right pass and the defence had nothing to worry about. That wasn’t the crap bit.

The crap bit was in creating anything meaningful to worry QPR. A couple of errors and that was it. Game was done.

He was poor to start with, then great for a few games and then he’s been in and out since he started playing for DRC.

Not as consistent for me as the five I mentioned, and on balance, he’s a borderline Championship player…..

……I’d actually like to see more of Ter Avest. He had half an hour against Hull where he was absolutely quality in both directions and basically won us that game.

The only positive is I decided not to go tonight - one of the nearest clubs. Small consolation and would have loved to have been proved wrong.

I haven’t listened to Radio Oxford as I watched on Sky but were Will Goodwin and Sam Long just not selected for the 18 or injured tonight.
