good luck 18 year old Emma Raducanu in tonights US open women's final (9pm uk time)

Its a real shame not one of the terrestrial channels are showing the match

just Amazon Prime apparently

It's great* to see the daughter of Romanian and Chinese parents, born in Canada has just become Britain's no.1 female tennis player after going past Johanna Konta, the daughter of Hungarian patents, born in Australia.

Bloody immigrants, come over here and be the best in their field!

* And I genuinely do mean that it's great. Where better can we see the benefit of opening our doors to people from all over the world to be part of this great nation. Emma Raducanu appears a really down to earth girl and deserves everything that comes her way.

Brit Joe Salisbury and his American partner Rajeev Ram won the Men's Doubles beating another Brit Jamie Murray and his partner Bruno Soares in the final.

Joe Salisbury is also in the Mixed Doubles semi-final which is being played now, so 2 games in a day again.

And a very sociable time for the final too.

Bloody shattered on Friday having been up at 3am to watch her semi final. Absolutely worth it though, what an intelligent young talent.

Great story this. Good luck to her.

Has anyone around these parts ever objected to legal migration? No.

This nation of ours is a melting pot of cultures, diversity, and migration which is exactly what makes it great.

What many people object to are illegal arrivals, human trafficking, slavery, sexual exploitation and the many additional consequences.

Expecting migrants to follow the correct channels, that have always been and remain open, is common sense.

Hopefully, Emma`s Wimbledon experience will stand her in good stead for the final tonight. (y)

Who'd have guessed that Mr Farage-esque would be triggered by that?!

You made the post, I replied. It`s kind of how forums work.

Not "triggered" just replying with facts to your comment about immigrants.

OK boss? :)

Joe Salisbury has made it to the Mixed Doubles Final with his American partner Desirae Kwawczyk and could win the Doubles Double.

Alfie Hewitt is in the Men's Wheelchair Final and the Men's Doubles Final with his Argentine partner Gustavo Fernandez who he beat in his singles semi final.

Top work from both and nice to have quite a lot of British representation in finals even if they don't get much of the spotlight.

Genuinely excited about this one, been getting more into tennis recently and having a new British talent has been a big part of that.
Seen an Oxford game (albeit a shambles) and now driving home to see - hopefully - a historic win. Come on Emma!

And Joe Salisbury wins the Doubles double as he and his partner won 2 sets to 0.

More top work.

He now has 4 Grand Slam Doubles titles including the French Open.
