11/03/2026 - MDT: Oxford United v Blackburn Rovers

Done it. Should have been more but a win is a win.

The pressing was outstanding. Out of possession, we are a much better proposition nowadays.

Defensively really solid. Sam Long has found another level.

Brannagan was everywhere but with purpose.

Basically, if we’d had that starting XI from August, we wouldn’t be where we are.

Bring on Charlton. They’re out of the relegation conversation now but we’ve got another job to do.

We have won. Keep the faith :D

Let’s get another Southampton

Pfew.....but job done.
To be fair, Blackburn didn't actually have a decent effort at goal the entire game - the one goalmouth scramble was the only time they ever really threatened. Both due to a top notch defensive display and them being a really, really poor side.

Along with the three wins, that's the other great thing about this past two weeks - we've seen that two of the sides down there with us are absolutely horrendous. Every chance for us to get more points than them both over the last nine games.

Now, let's go and make it four against Charlton. Don't think they're very good either, it'll be a scrap, and they might just be thinking their safe after today's big win and take their eye off the ball..........

And a Saints equalizer just to top things off!

It's 2 from 5,for relegation, or 2 from 4 if Pompey win their game in hand....Beat Charlton and game on....

What an absolute touch that Southampton goal was and they almost won it. At last not 23rd.. Glad to get it over the line tonight what a result. Buzzing now. We move on to the Charlton game now they just beast Middlesboro they will be bang up for it we need to be right on our game. Great stuff yellows.!

Let's just worry about us need at least 4 wins but at least now a chance ,brilliant week or 2 let's top on Saturday with the best yet Well done everyone Saturday is now even more important. Let's rest ,chill ,relax and giving it even more .We love you Oxford we do.

Bloomfield has really got us purring. Let’s keep these wins coming.

Thoughts with Amelia’s family and friends - respect to the Blackburn fans for contributing to that heartbreaking tribute tonight.

The football community always does these things right.
