I wouldn't be surprised to see Sheff Wed pick up points now. The stress, even though they already knew, of relegation would be there until mathematically sure. So they have the mental freedom of playing just for that game.
Also players will be looking to impress to get contracts there or elsewhere, such as Jerry Yates seems to be doing.
Yes they are a very poor team at this level.I mean, they've already played four games since they were mathematically relegated......and they've only picked up one point; and that was in a game where they only had a third of the possession and chances.
At this point in the season, I think it's fair to say that they're just bad, a bunch of players who shouldn't really be playing at this level (any more in some cases, ever in others)......there's no excuse for not beating them at home, when we (might) really need the points.

Not sure possession is a good guide for anything tbh. From what I read, they were unlucky in their last game.
I thought the last 10 minutes the crowd was fantastic the constant "Yellow and Blue army" helped the players over the line, I have never heard anything like it in the North stand with the majority standing up chanting.Disagree. Find something else to criticise.
There was some tension in the crowd until we scored then later as Blackburn put us under the cosh for a while but for large parts there was good and prolonged noise, one of the best atmosphere’s this season I’d say, particularly when the SSL were on their feet towards the end.
Of all the things to criticise about last night, and there were precious few, the noise around the ground shouldn’t be one of them, it felt like a six pointer to me and the noise generated reflected that.
Derby were worse IMO.Just to get back to Blackburn. They are the worst team I’ve seen this season. Only question is whether or not we will go down with them?
I thought that tte crowd were generally very good and that it was one of the best atmospheres this season
Harsh, they stepped it up when it was needed. It was far from being the best atmosphere this season. For the majority of the game it was silent bar the odd whole stadium chant that would last 30 seconds. Only really picked up in the last 10 mins or so.
Where in the ground were you?It was far from being the best atmosphere this season. For the majority of the game it was silent bar the odd whole stadium chant that would last 30 seconds. Only really picked up in the last 10 mins or so.
Obviously not in the East Stand.Where in the ground were you?
Let’s hope on Saturday they can do it for 80 more minutesI thought the last 10 minutes the crowd was fantastic the constant "Yellow and Blue army" helped the players over the line, I have never heard anything like it in the North standing with the majority standing up chanting.![]()

They were at the time of playing them, but then I think they went on a winning run.Derby were worse IMO.
He’s worthy of better imho. Can we start singing this for our Will?

I disagree with that. East stand felt and sounded pretty lively to me.It was far from being the best atmosphere this season. For the majority of the game it was silent bar the odd whole stadium chant that would last 30 seconds. Only really picked up in the last 10 mins or so.
Was it just me or was the atmosphere a bit strange, a bit flat, for long periods last night ? Considering what was at stake I felt the whole ground descended into periods of eerie silence for long periods. The crowd definitely came alive when the countdown was on with 10-15 minutes to go but that seemed about the only time to me. I don’t know if it was a reaction to the Amelia tragedy or the fact the away end was a thousand short and not the noisiest but at no point - bar that last push - did it feel like a six pointer at stake.
Exactly this. Worst atmosphere of the season for me, bar those last ten minutes.
I moved to the SSU for this as as both kids with me, and there was even the add moment in thereI thought the last 10 minutes the crowd was fantastic the constant "Yellow and Blue army" helped the players over the line, I have never heard anything like it in the North stand with the majority standing up chanting.![]()
There's always odd moments in the SSU.....I moved to the SSU for this as as both kids with me, and there was even the add moment in there![]()
There's always odd moments in the SSU.....
Along with the smell.... there's always the smell. Can only be described as a heady mix of soup, werthers and embrocation (look it up, kids)![]()
They?Let’s hope on Saturday they can do it for 80 more minutes![]()
Yes they, as in the fans at the game, in the ground, as I am unable to make it.They?
I’ve had to miss plenty of games myself, but I’ve never thought anyone would care what I thought about the atmosphere when I did.Yes they, as in the fans at the game, in the ground, as I am unable to make it.
My post was me saying I hope the crowd can get behind the team and keep the singing going for a full 90 minutes rather than just 10 minutes in a pretty important home game. I didn't realise we could only have an opinion if we went to the game.I’ve had to miss plenty of games myself, but I’ve never thought anyone would care what I thought about the atmosphere when I did.
