11/03/2026 - MDT: Oxford United v Blackburn Rovers

Yes, the fact that we have dragged ourselves up and at the same time expanded the pool of teams looking at the two remaining relegation places to (at least) five teams is great. There are some players in our side now who are genuine Championship quality and the team as a whole looks so much more cohesive.

Of course one of those five teams is us, and we may still go down. But I think all of us are much happier now that the team has shown some fighting spirit and given us a chance.

Great performance great result fans were immense in that last 10 minutes

The Us are staying up

That's clean sheet had a special meaning that was for you Amelia sleep tight young lady

Just an astonishingly good run of results. Three on the bounce at THE most critical period of the season. Absolutely magical stuff. And well worth the win in each, too.

Blackburn so far off it it was amazing. Can't remember the last time our players had that much time on the ball. That said, confidence is visibly oozing through our boys at the moment in a way I haven't seen since we've been back in the Championship (little sombrero flicks, little nutmegs, ambitious passes), it's a joy to watch.

The Charlton result pulls them fully out of it in my view, fair play. It's now a straight five-way shootout between us five down there, and we've put ourselves in a superb position with our results over the last 10 days or so. It's a little alarming that despite three wins on the bounce we're still in the relegation zone, but every other team down there will be looking at us as the form team now, and morale elsewhere will be very low.

Come on boys - we've got this!!

Actually West Brom are three points behind Pompey now after that late Saints equalizer!

Missed that. Sickener for West Brom, hopefully it affects them.

Blackburn looked terrible as well, a lot of hope after tonight.

Yeah and realistically, Charlton unfortunately now becomes a "must win" too because we're not going to get a great deal out of Southampton or Hull.

Just goes to show how dead and buried we were a few weeks ago. It's great that we're at least putting up a proper fight now.

Some decent play, especially first half. Mills is in a good spot, as many others around him.
MPH the only frustrating one, as you know he’s better than the last couple of games.
Will be disappointed if we finish below Blackburn, and need to drag Pompey into the group.
3 on the trot and unbeaten in 5 has been impressive.

Same Southampton we beat earlier in the season and who needed an injury time equaliser against West Brom tonight?

Pompey are well and truly in the group already, make no mistake.

Whole squad were brilliant. Really looks like we’re building in confidence. That was a solid performance. Particularly Brannagan and Mills in the last few games have been fantastic and really upped their game. Brannagan with some beautiful diagonals, and absolutely everywhere. Mills looks really dangerous at the moment, making some really intelligent runs and putting some great crosses in too. Wish Lankshear had’ve scored that early chance! He was also fantastic tonight.

A couple of weeks ago I was more or less sure that we’d be playing in League one next season, but what a run we’ve been on.. looking at WBA, Pompey and Blackburns run ins too… they’re genuinely all in trouble.

I really think we’ll get out of this, can see Blackburn and Pompey going down! 🙏🏼

That was a proper game and performance! Maybe we shut up shop a bit early , and Prelec was a bit disappointing, but I can’t find any more fault. We’re gonna give someone a thrashing this season
