Away Match Day Thread 11/02/25: Championship - Derby County v OUFC

Angriest I’ve been at a performance and result all season, but tomorrow morning it probably won’t be a bad point. Should have been 3 though, won’t come up against many sides worse than Derby away from home.

Negatives:
- Very little quality on the ball
- Harris doesn't look like he's ever going to score again
- Our set pieces were poor (which is particularly disappointing as they've been much better of late)
- Just generally very boring and lacklustre

Positives:
- Mills looked good
- The subs generally improved us
- Clean sheet and a point away from home

Without the ball that’s a 10/10 performance! Problem is with the ball it was about 2/10.

Loved watching their crowd boo as Derby had no choice but to go backwards over and over again. If you’re being honest they haven’t threatened us much at all in the second half bar a couple of brief flashpoints.

Positives - Mills looks like he has something to offer. I thought he and Rodrigues were instrumental in helping us alleviate pressure by keeping the ball higher up. And all of the back four were just immense.

We were pretty unanimous we’d be delighted with 4 points from the next two games. Well there is 1 of them - and from an away game where we’ve been pretty poor. Take it all day long…

That was poor - be amazed if we play a team worse than Derby for the rest of the season. Would have taken a point before hand however having watched the game I wouldn’t have
Only positive is Mills at least looked like he could get to the line and cross it in.
Feel we should have gone more out for the win.

It's weird - imagine if we'd snatched a point away at Coventry in that ding-dong battle. Elation!

Tonight, a world of 'meh' for the same 'result'. Football eh?

Derby will finish below Plymouth, I'm sure. Pompey will be a tough game, I think they're better than their position suggests although they've been very poor away from home.

That keeps derby away from us and still in the relegation zone and another point to safety. Miserable boring game and we are lacking in Ideas mills could help our goals dilemma as at least he is creative and gets the ball into the box onto the next game Portsmouth.

They look better than derby at the moment. We all would have taken this league position at the start of the season but need to get back to winning ways.

Edit. Derby just out of the zone

I think it’s safe to say that we should get used to ugly away games under Rowett and he will set us up to not be beaten rather than to go out and take the game to the home side.

We have been poor but I still can’t see us going down.
This is essentially it. He's mapping a route to safety and it's clear to see that, to him at least, any away point is a point gained.

It was an absolutely dire game of football but it is easily a better result for us than it is for Derby. They were at home against a side with seemingly zero ambition to win the game and they couldn't even really put sustained, heavy pressure together, it was the easiest point away from home we'll ever get.

Mills definitely the positive from tonight. Could be a shrewd signing. Got to be worth a go with Romeny up front unless he really isn't impressing in training. Harris simply isn't Championship standard.

It's a better point for us then Derby.
