Home Match Day Thread +++ 10/08/2019 L1: OUFC v Peterborough FC +++

Whilst we have one man and no dog ( except Amersham Dave’s) up front they are overwhelmed with forwards. Their biggest problem is they don’t know how to fit them into a workable formation. Looking at Posh forum, they are not optimistic DF knows how to fix it except drop a couple of £1mn+ players. Which they know he won’t do. They know we did well at Sunderland last week so are nervy. if only they had something they could put up at the open end to make conditions better when weather is bad.....?

2-1 win for us with Fosu and Henry scoring for us, Toney for them. 7,008 people in attendance. Henry’s goal will be the winner late on, a cross which goes in after changing direction 3 times in this wind like an old shoot plastic football.

Hutch :oops:

Karleigh Osborne as well, another ex-yellows boy.

Regarding the game, conditions may make it a lottery, but I fancy our defensive rocks to come out on top. 1-0 to us! COYY

...Scott Fitzgerald was on loan at Oxford that season IIRC.

Looking forward to the match today and hopefully the winds will calm down a bit by kick off.
2-0 to the U’S with Woodburn on the scoresheet.

Going to be a tough game today, it all depends on who can make the most of the wind. Form and tactics are irrelevant in the conditions expected today.
