Is this too early to start a match day thread?

Ultimately it’s going to be a painful defeat I fear despite us taking the lead.

Lessons not learnt.

Dons 2-1 Oxford

Could someone let Tiger know that the train journey is a bit awkward. About 2 and a half hours from Oxford with at least two changes. He could go via Reading but that might not be such a good idea. The alternatives are via Marylebone and Waterloo or Basingstoke and Clapham Junction. They all go to Norbiton and then it's a 15 minute stroll. (or he could take a minicab)

Might be better just to drive up. Maybe DE could give him a lift?

“Tiger, are you alright to pay for the petrol? It’s my car we’re using but if you check the fine-print, you’ll see that ENSCO aren’t expected to pay for petrol until Marvin Johnson makes an international appearance.”

Underground, overground, Womling free.
Anyway I blame prescriptive text (see!!! FFS!!) on my mobile phone whilst stuck in traffic.

Hope you had your engine turned off and were parked in a safe place when posting your message.

We wouldn’t want our resident TVP poster tracking you down and issuing with points and a fine for dangerous driving ;)

So there we have it, Faz is pretty much declaring that this will be his last game as caretaker manager before the new guy takes over. Who knows, hopefully not, but it could even be his last game involved with Oxford United altogether. Whatever people frustrations have been with the manager search and performances etc, I think they should all be put to one side, everybody should get behind Faz and the team and show him the appreciation he deserves for being a great servant of the club in good times and these not so good. We’ve got a lot to thank him for, and his conduct through these last few trying weeks has been nothing short of impeccable

So do we all (except Tiger) agree its just about survival now? - A draw and a very precious point will do.

1-1 Thomas.

Sick of the misery. In spite of everything our lads, especially as they have had a nice long break, will come out all guns blazing and score three in the first half. we will then (being us) concede two in the second half and in stoppage time they'll miss a penalty but we will still win and at the end of the game they will announce we finally have a bloody manager and then the rest of the year will start looking less bleak.

Well we can dream I guess. Imagine actually having a manager; nah it’s just too far fetched to contemplate and you shouldn’t build up such high expectations.

The least likely part of that prophecy is the announcement of a new manager

Ah remember the away days in Barcelona..will we be match fit or forget how to play football after the break??
