Home Match Day Thread 10/02/2026 - MDT: Oxford United v Norwich City

Surely if it was wingbacks we’d play Roosken (I know he put in a huge effort on Saturday but).

5 at the back means we’ve either gone with Brown, Placheta (or MPH at a push) as LWB

Really glad that Makama's not fit. He's been a top player for them during their recent run.

But Sam Long’s old friend Paris Maghoma is on the bench. He wouldn’t do it again would he?! 😈😈

Their fans seem to think they have a "pony" line up and will be set up to get a point and keep the gap between us.

It’s as close to a must win as Game 32 of 46 can be.

I just don’t see us getting anything at Boro. They look a Premier League side in waiting and are bang in form.

And I don’t see us getting 22 points from the last 13 games regardless of how kind the fixture list is.

Win tonight though and it’s game on for the rest of the season.
If we continue our form from the last 6 games, we will end up on 43 points at the end of the season. That will probably send us down. But, its not too much of an improvement needed to get to 50 points, which may well keep us up.

Think this is one of those games I'm so disappointed at Shammy starting I'm going to call him non-league in the hope some cosmic magic causes him to score a worldie.

Hoping the slick turf causes him and Harris to be more effective than usual, but won't hold my breath.

Don’t think I’ve been able to accurately guess a MB line yet. Assuming it’s 4231 which I like but could be Bran at lwb for all we know!

Warming up with brown left back. Long left CB. Helik right CB. Makosso right back.

Some right dope head stewards in the east stand wanting proof of my season ticket but only because I was with my boys .. they are picking on random people

It looks sparse in here tonight. Real shame.

Let's see if we can lift the players, and let's see if they can give us reason to believe.

Shame Harris starts never gives me confidence of a goal sorry

Are there any of our forwards that give you confidence of a goal? Or even a decent performance? Maybe MPH, but I think that's the end of the list.

It's the major issue with our squad as built - there's a dozen different combinations of a back four that Bloomfield could have played tonight that would probably have been satisfactory. But in the forward positions, there's no reliability at all.

We're just desperate for a couple of them to go on a hot streak......and whatever their limitations at this level, at least Placheta and Sparky have hit runs of hot form before (even if they were shortlived.......)
