If this game gets abandoned then Blackburn should simply receive penalties for failing to fulfil a fixture. It's clear their ground is not up to the standard required of the football league when even teams like Fleetwood and Harrogate can cope in the same conditions. The EFL always take their eye off the ball when it comes to established grounds because they simply assume that if it was fine back in 2008 then it'll be the same now. Many stadiums are in disrepair but not at this level and the drainage is a huge issue whereby games cannot be completed in normal weather.

Some grounds have never ever been completed! Outrageous.

Blackburns fans not confident. One on X says he lives 1 mile from the ground and that it hasn't stopped raining since the last game was abandoned... The communication has been poor, really hope it goes ahead (and finishes!)

Isn't it effectively raining perpetually in Lancashire?

These are our Glory Days. We’ve reached The Promised Land and I don’t want to be Goin’ Down to play Darlington County and Lucky (Swindon) Town again.
Bloody hell. It's as if you've waited for years for a Bruce Springsteen / OUFC pun opportunity.

Grasped it with both hands. Bravo!

Is there some type of microclimate in Blackburn?
"It's grim up north" seems to be taken to new levels up there

No rain forecast whilst the game is on so if it starts it'll finish.

That didn't matter away at Newcastle back in the day. Rain stopped hours before KO, played the 1st half and the pitch was getting considerably better throughout but the Ref called the game off at half time claiming a flooded pitch. The players and management from both teams were not happy with his decision.

Funnily enough, soon as that half time whistle went then Newcastle didn't have to pay back the entrance money.
