Just don't lose ,make it a fantastic a week for the U's .Take draw Wednesday and against Wednesday what a week that would be. Love to look at the table Saturday night with 47pts or more ,fingers crossed

Take draw? Come on , both are wins , take a draw in the 90th minute when 1 0 down , not 72 hours before a game.

Amazingly we are still 7/2 to go down yet QPR are 25/1 for the drop. I wonder what the odds will be if we win on Weds?

QPR have lost 5 and drawn 2 of their last 7. Draws coming v Cardiff and a promotion-shy Leeds side. They have lost their last 6 away games. Sheffield United had won their last 6 away games before Saturday I think. So anything can happen.

Without wishing to tempt fate that 25/1 is a value bet all the same.

Always vote against us in a poll every time... doesnt mean thats how Im thinking ... also had a bet on saturday backing every result going aginst us ... I never win ... which is a good thing.
Yeah, I also have a bit of a superstition about predicting a win for us. I pretty much always predict a draw in home games. But I definitely wouldn't take a draw v QPR. Need to win this one so we can take the pressure off a bit.

QPR’s last SIX fixtures:

Interesting
I usually vote based on superstition too. Went against the norm in predicting win at West Brom (that went well! 🫤)
I’d be interested to know the motivation for people’s predictions. Is it REALLY what people expect to happen? (The poll always seems remarkably positive, home and away! Eg does Sarge really think we will win every match? Fair play to your positivity, Sarge!)
I would guess that the poll results haven’t been too accurate this season. (??)
Anyway …. QPR home draw. 😊

I usually vote for home win, away draw but didn’t vote for Saturday’s game so therefore won’t be voting again this season.
Some people have the cheek to say us football supporters can be a strange bunch!

I thought the idea was to vote for what you expected to happen, not what you wanted- that would be pointless

A win on Wednesday puts them right in the weeds and more importantly if Pompey get the loss we expect at Coventry, it puts 5 teams between us and the drop. we’d be safe in my book, bearing in mins lot of them play each other in the games ahead and can’t both win. And that’s assuming we don’t get too many more points ourselves from the 5 remaining games, which I think we will the less pressure we’re under.

League seasons don’t have cup finals but this is as close as it gets. This is the chance to essentially put it to bed and throw another team in to the dog fight in our place.

I wish the people who always vote win, or vote superstitiously would just not bother voting. It would be good to get the actual prediction of the fanbase.

Surely, after the boost from Saturday, current form (we are in better form than them over the last six games and in their last six away games they have amassed a grand total of zero points), our relative strength at home and the backing of a large supportive crowd then we have to be at least somewhat confident of getting the job done on Wednesday?

3-1 Oxford.

Some fans (me) will look at it the opposite way. We just beat a team that won their last 6 away, QPR have lost their last 6 away, so that means we'll get beat. This is stupid and irrational but you always remember when it occasionally happens (Pompey this season and that time Gillingham were on a record run without a win away).

Got back to Cornwall last night - so pleased I made it to the match what a great occasion and battling performance - not the best football but who cares.

It is one of those confirmation bias things though. The times it actually happens stick in your mind and you forget the times it doesn't! Given the choice, I'd always rather we were at home to a team that had lost their last six away and had a bit of an injury crisis!

Just had a look at tickets for QPR says sold out. Just looked again now open with a few exchanged

Absolutely not the best football as you say but you can’t replace the excitement a result like that brings. And if it takes weeks and weeks of dour performances to get one like Saturday v a top team and hopefully stay up in the process then it makes it all worthwhile.
