Sam Barrott to be fair got the Merseyside derby and was royally thrown under the bus by VAR. That said it was a red card all day long and he should have grasped the nettle and gone for the back pocket and used VAR as the confirmation rather than Plan B.

This guy last night had 11 players and a trainer pulling his chain. The thing is all these errors have repercussions. In the case of Tarkowski it meant he was able to play v Arsenal and deny them a win at Goodison Park.

I am not sure how these things work and I probably don’t pay enough attention at the time but were the assistants also operating a level up last night? If they were that would certainly not be helpful.

IMO the assistant on the South stand side was ( like BellEND the referee) , way, way out of his depth

He added 6 minutes in the first half and 11in the second, he added a bit more as they scored in the extra time, that equates to about 18 minutes, he was shite but he didn’t really fall for their time wasting did he.
We beat ourselves tonight, they didn’t really need his help.

But that time wasting stopped any momentum we had so even though we had 11 minutes at the end we had no momentum at that time.
