So as a result of getting through we now go 4 weeks without a home Championship game from last day of January to last day of February (unless Norwich is rearranged for a Tuesday in Feb - even then it's no Saturday home League game for 4 weeks).

Bloomfield will have to hit the ground running in January. A horrid February just got worse.

Shorty on injuries:

Ciaron Brown probably out for a couple of weeks - much better than they feared when he injured himself in training. Has had a scan.

Nic Prelec - needs hernia surgery. Probably 3-4 weeks.

Wow thank the lord for that! Hope Donley isn’t out for very long. MPH sounds promising considering he’s barely been on the pitch with any of his teammates before tonight. COYY

That doesn't surprise me, Prelec hasn't looked fit at all all season.

Did Short just say Donley had concussion, shoulder and a rib injury????
That's a few weeks out then ,ribs are so painful ,lets hope there's no tear to the shoulder and is it 2 games out with concussion ?drat

Thawing out with a Tim Horton’s coffee before my drive back to Reading. WOW that was a tough watch. Ingram was clear MOTM for us, and for me there’s no doubt they deserved to win over 90 minutes. Although I did think our extra resources started to tell in extra time and we looked like the only team trying to win the game. It was a little signal of what riches being a Championship club brings when they’re bringing on tiny little Liam Kelly and Jay ‘Timmy won’t pay for that loan’ Matete…whilst we’re chucking on two full internationals and our record multi-million pound signing trying to get the win.

How that penalty on Mills wasn’t given I don’t know. Crap luck with Donley, hopefully he isn’t out for too long. I thought MPH was very clever and composed on the ball, but looked absolutely GASSED by the end. I swear I’ve seen Collins score against us for countless clubs at this point too!

That shitshow tonight was thankfully the final dying embers of a brutally dull era, but hopefully from tomorrow it's onwards and upwards as we set sail with our new manager, hopefully an entire new backroom team, and the beginnings of an improved squad for the remainder of the season, and one objective: Championship survival.

Time for Bloomfield to take the reins...

Who do we all want in the next round then? Fulham away for me, not far and a good day out, doubt we have any chance of a result against any prem side though.
Wrexham away purely for selfish reasons due to it being 20 minutes from my house.

Just listened to WATG on the way back. Pretty sure he was referring to previous injuries with the ribs and shoulder. Let's hope so anyway 🤞

I have no idea how to feel about that, we huffed and puffed against a league two side and made it harder work for ourselves than it had to be ... but on the flip side we did start playing decently and players that id basically discounted put in MOTM performances! And Cambran being back is huge.

fair play to those that travelled there in such good numbers though, proud of them

That’ll do. Am I pleased with the performance? Hmmm. Am I pleased with the entertainment and final result? Yes! No better way of milking every moment of enjoyment than it going to pens and your team winning. Into the fourth round, build some confidence for the start of MBs tenure and hoping for a great draw in the next round. COYY!
