London based Paul Howard - a Transport for London employee - is tonight’s referee at Stadium MK.

As this is likely Shorts last game in charge (at least for a while), why would he not put a strong team out? Over a week till our next fixture, we could do with a win, little cup run would help lift the gloom etc. put our strongest team out for me.

Totally agree.

I’d go strong. Didn’t play last weekend, no midweek game, no midweek game this week either, the players are rested. Half of our team rarely play two games consecutively anyway with all the chopping and changing in full back positions and every single attacking position. Get a win, build on it with two upcoming home games and just get a feel good factor going on around the place, coinciding with the appointment of the new manager.

I would play Vaulks the full 90 and give a half each to BDK and cam Bran.

If we don't go through it will be even bleaker than last season.

Exeter = Late train but still time for cider before the match and pizza and more cider afterwards. From memory it rained a bit but was quite warm.

MK = Temperature will feel like -3. No train home until 10.30pm from Bletchley. Icy walk at both ends. No alcohol as doing dry January until after next payday for financial reasons (will probably buy myself a Bovril).

Serves you right for doing dry January, utter nonsense  :ROFLMAO:

I probably shouldn't call it dry January, I was happily drinking until 5th January when we went into our overdraft and there was a bit of a panic about where the money had gone. Alcohol is one of the obvious things for me to save money on. I could let my mates buy me beers but that's not really fair and also if I've had a few pints am I really going to be sensible for the rest of the evening? eg. I would likely buy myself hot food and more beers for the train home.

Yeah I did think that as well….would then have had a two week break, which would hopefully allow him to recover and just replace Brannagan with one of the many attacking midfielders. Either way please don’t play BDK for the full 90.
I would ideally like to see a youth player or 2 get a chance but I am not sure where players like Johnson and Snowden are up to with their recovery/fitness.

Shorty says he's putting out a strong side for this one - "I'm a huge fan , want to progress", "I'll be going strong". Great to have this positive leadership.

Placheta has pulled a calf muscle - Shorty guessing he's out for 2 to 3 weeks but says he doesn't know for sure; Tyler out for longer.

It’s all very well saying ‘play your best side’ but if, for example, we give both Brannagan and BdK 90 minutes and then they’re not not available for the next league game, I’ll be furious.

But Brannagan would never play 90, doubt he will even feature if we are winning.

We also don’t actually have any midfielders to rotate, if we play neither BDK or Cam our centre midfield is a 32 year old Vaulks now that Goodrham is injured and L Harris and Sibley have left the building.

Please a strong side but not the strongest from the start, hope the likes of Leigh, Vaulks, Donley and Lanky start, would like to see some youth on the bench in case we run away with it for experience
