Away Match Day Thread 07/02/2026 - MDT: Coventry City v Oxford United

All the post match analysis will be the controversy about Brown not seeing red, rather than how the referee's abysmal performance wrecked the game - the amount of decisions he got wrong was staggering.

I didn't see what Lankshear's first yellow was for and so many fouls he gave that screamed homer during the game. That the Brown decision doesn't counter balance how poor he was for us outside of that.

Regardless a great point, but really need to show it when it matters against teams lower in the table and especially at home.

I'll gladly eat humble pie. Hard fought draw, shame Stoke couldn't beat WBA but this was not a point I was expecting, especially going down to 10.

Thankfully I don’t have a dodgy heart down to 10 men after Wills stupidity we made it well done

So that's marris up front Tuesday then..,....
You say that but we didn’t start with either him or Lankshear today.

If you’d have offered us a point before the game today I’m sure most of us would have been more than happy with that against the league leaders. Shame we were up against 12 men for most of the game. We’ve had some poor refs this season but I think today’s was taking things to another level. I hope his performance today is scrutinised and is addressed accordingly

how many yellow cards did we get today? Ive lost count , Lanks x2, Longy, Brown, Bran, JC, MB ( in the dugout), Romeny? who else? were there any more ?

We need to get far more composed on the ball to stand a chance of staying up, but the fight in this team cannot be questioned.

Every man put in a massive shift. A mention for Romeny - he fought for everything defensively when he came on, up against a serious challenge.

Makosso will be a cult hero if he carries on like this. Immense.

agree 100%

the powers that be will do nothing about any poor referee, old boys club that it is

We might still rue not having another striker in the January sales ,There's Harris or Harris, maybe try Romeny he's got abit more magic in them feet. But great effort, and some excellent debuts .
