I mean on reflection Sheff Utd have a very silly squad in terms of strength and depth, so while it was disappointing (and the starting XI questionable) it was always a big ask to get points.

Coventry are strong but on a bit of a blip, so there's an opportunity here. I'd be keen for more of a 4-3-3/4-5-1 of sorts. Would potentially be leaning for Davies to start over Brown but depends on availability for the full back positions.

Davies to start over Brown ?????????????????????????

I can certainly see the logic. Brown is a dependable defender but his distribution out the back has been appalling most of the season.
On that basis then I would go with:

Ingram,
Long, Makosso, Davies, Currie,
an U18, Brannagan,
an U16, an U18, an U16
Lankshear

Not many players have done too well this season.

You are starting next season’s team early I see?

This. Just gives it away time and time again. Needs a mentality shift from "I've done my job defending" to "how can I best help the team with my next choice?".

Even if he does have to go long and clear it's nearly always to a place where we have little chance of competing for the first or second ball. Always seems to put us on the back foot.

Yes other players around him can (and should) help him, but also needs to help himself a bit more.

Cumming

Makosso Helik Davies

Spencer Brannagan McDonnell Currie

I’d like to see us start with five centre backs. Call two of ‘em full backs to satisfy the moaners. Then park the Vaulkswagen in front of them. Only way to stop the other team is to build a human wall over our goal line imo.

Not enough.

Shocking support not to sell out our 2,000 allocation at a ground up the road versus top of the league.

Type of fixture that people should be excited to attend.
Don’t forget to take your autograph book to meet the top of the league. If you could moan about our support to everyone who goes I think that would also help create a great atmosphere that people want to be a part of.

2-1 win for the yellows.

Is it Coventry where there is an outside brewery on a trading estate just near the ground?

I’m going - but quite literally going by myself and not taking at least one of my kids to this because the U18 pricing is scandalous. I go to every home game and 10-15 away trips a season, so I’d argue my OUFC ticket spend is pretty high as far as how much of my recreational cash supporting the team takes up. Even I thought it was just too much to fork out for more than just my own ticket. I can’t imagine I’m alone in looking at those ticket prices and acting accordingly.

(Coventry isn’t the easiest to park at economically either, and it’s 2026 so trains are either expensive or complex or both!).

Maybe cov charging £32 an adult and £22 for u18 which is ridiculous 😱

Whole reason our family aren't going
Lots of people would have chosen to go to Leicester rather than Coventry, and not just because it was our first time at the King power

Yep, agreed on the prices, even on my own it would cost me £70 in travel and ticket. Add my son and we're over £100.

Calling it somehow poor is particularly short-sighted, I'm sure loads of fans would love to go but can't afford to, especially having just escaped January!

Hope I regret the decision after a massive win though.

Apparently, just over 1100 which is very poor!
It's not at all poor that some of our fans are making a stand against the horrendous Under 18's pricing. There will definitely be less kids in the away end than usual, which is a proper shame, but the alternative would be to give Coventry feedback that their pricing is okay. It's NOT OKAY you uncaring corporate fuckwits.

Ticket prices are almost the same as the ours at the kassam…
Almost the same? Here's some maths for you, based on the East Stand and not having a membership (family stand would be even cheaper):

1 Adult, 1 Under 13, 1 Under 7 = £26 + £9 + £6 = £41. Coventry = £76

In the North Stand (same prices we charge for away fans) those price bands total £50 if that's what you are comparing to.
