My big beef with the fixture list is the long midweek trips. They do this on purpose so that clubs get bigger average gates - the reasoning is that less people turn up on a Tuesday / Wednesday night anyway so they may as well play the games predicted to be less popular then.

It is not a decision that helps regular matchgoing fans or players.

Its a win in Wales all the way......... presuming the vs Ipswich team turn up for 90 minutes.

This has typical Oxford written all over it Swansea no win in 5 Oxford unbeaten in their last 3 with a sensational victory over Ipswich in their last game.

Swansea 2 - 1 Oxford
Exactly what I was thinking. We love to get a team out of a bad run. COYY

HTA will be available on Saturday.

Brodie and Matt Phillips back out on the grass, but still a ways away from playing in games

No mention of Cam.
I am enjoying pondering how the Phillips that left us contributes to this team now. If it goes well it could go very well and help shore up a scant midfield

They have lost, I think 5 games in a row including 2 under their new manager.
They are sinking like a rock.
Interesting perspective from George on The Dub.
A win would take us 4 points off the bottom 3. I am a bit of a point hugger and a draw would keep us above them
Back on track for them Saturday then!! When will we ever learn!!

Fixture computer went a bit weird this season because we're playing Swansea twice this month - Saturday and then at home on the 29th.
Then we're going to Ipswich on New Year's Day to complete the two fixtures against them in a little over a month as well......meanwhile after seeing them on opening day, we don't play Pompey again until April!

This is a chance to get a marker down. More a 'Must not lose' than a 'Must win' but I think we want at least three wins from a relatively friendly set of December fixtures, and Saturday would be a great place to start.
This normally happens, but it’s bloody odd

We already know Cam Bran is out for about a couple of months so we won't hear anything till he's "on the grass"

According to the ticket office, the club are anticipating roughly 1200 away fans.
Good going, that. I wonder how many of us bought tickets on Friday night after the final whistle? I got a bit overexcited and then remembered how far away Swansea is.

What I would like to see: Oxford at them and trying to get in front to put the pressure on Swansea and their fans.
What we will get: A sit back and soak up the pressure, stay in the game plan and try to pinch a goal late on.

I didn't even know HTA had been injured (again), though I did wonder why he'd disappeared from the squad. (Ditto Dembele.)
Serious question, what’s wrong with Dembele?

Head says 1-1, Heart says 1-2
I think this week my heart will rule my head, so another away win on its way!

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Goodrham start, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him do something quite good.

2-1 again, Goodrham and a Placheta piledriver.

HTA isn't injured as such- GR said he just felt sore after playing again - shd be ok for Sat

Tricky to balance, because we'll have had over a week off, but then into another 3 games in a week...

I just hope we go with a little more intent than against Norwich - its probably a more winnable game than the trip to Blackburn, so if we were to be a bit less cautious in one of them, I'd hope this is it!

No reason not to go with the same starting line-up, but maybe swap Marris and Lankshear.
I’d actually be for keeping Harris in to see if he scores again as his confidence is returning. I’d like to see Lankshear start too with Rominey getting more time
