With a bit more luck and composure from our forwards in the critical moments we can win this. COYY.

There is something about this team that doesn't feel like a relegation team. We may be lacking in a bit of quality, but I don't remember any of our relegation sides having the same fight and likeability.

Today is absolutely massive especially with the games that are happening elsewhere. A draw doesn't really do anything for us so this really is a must win.

Gutted to be missing it.

2-1 Oxford with goals from Mills and Cam.

We gifted Portsmouth 3 points in August after our shambolic preseason and strange recruitment.

Bloomfield has been heavily backed, Josh Murphy is out for the season, so we should be in good shape to secure a much needed win.

0-2 to the mighty yellows, Lankshear at the double and a welcome clean sheet to boost confidence going into the final stretch.

Be solid ,silence the crowd, just the biggest game of the season so far let's go there and win let's drag a few more teams in ,let's not let them settle a massive game for Mills ,MPH ,Donley and Lanks let's be having the best performance from these boys this year ,COYYS

I had a very bizarre dream that included Stan Mills (no, scrape your minds out of the gutter!) so he's my man for a goal and an assist today, as we win. I reckon we take the lead early and extend it to 2, but Pompey pull one back just before half time. Very nervy 2nd half, but we hold on for a win.

So who is going to be first to say that 'technically' it isn't a must win :)

Goes without saying it’s the biggest game of the season, we need to start this game quick and unsettle their fans.

Nervy 2-1 Oxford

A game we cannot lose, obviously 3 points would be the best outcome. However if we draw Pompey don’t get away from us. I really think it’s between us, Leicester and Pompey Leicester will beat SW but for me the next 3 home games will determine our season as long as we don’t lose today. Watford and SW both winnable and a point against Wrexham is achievable
So draw today and seven from our home games takes us to 48.
Derby away we could grab a point leaving Milwall away on the last day.
One game 90 minutes who knows what we need by then to stay up.
So today a draw wouldn’t be a disaster

I think, to no one's surprise, Spencer will come in a left back. Perhaps Woo or Placheta for Peart-Harris who looked knackered on Friday?
Spencer was great and I expect him to start. I thought MPH had a decent game v Hull but tired late on. Would start him with Placheta waiting to cause them trouble in the second half with his pace. Woo looked miles off it on Friday.

Donley struggled to have any impact on the game on Monday, wonder if he'll be swapped for someone?

Whoever loses this will probably be condemned to relegation but winning doesn't guarantee safety - Pompey, with their game in hand, will probably be more happy than us with a point.

If it's still all square at eighty minutes, I can see a very "safety first" approach from both teams.
Disagree it's their home game with next up m.boro and Ipswich
A PT is better for us than them

I don't think if we lose it's hello L1. We have good games to come
But I do think that if Pompey lose. They have a hard run in

I would be surprised and disappointed - as we saw with the pen his passing ability can unlock defences. Think he poses a real threat - though did seem to be tired second half.

First goal is huge in this, since will force the other team to pile forward and create big counter attack opportunities.

It’s 12.30 ko isn’t it?

Hopefully that point at Norwich doesn’t reenergise their players and fans. Their form was desperate going into that game and a defeat there would have had them a bag of nerves today. It could still turn hostile down there very quickly if we get ahead and getting in their faces from the off might be our best way to approach this.
