This is by far the best half I've seen from us since before Christmas. The tactics, the squad, the energy is on another level.

The downside to all this is that we've presumably got Vaulks and Harris arriving in the second half. We've got to get the game done by that point.

Mercy, you feel we have to win this. I have a very bad feeling we're going to get sucker punched and end up losing.

We have to keep this pace and pressure up though...no arsing around first 10 minutes of second half or making poor subs.

Pretty painful stuff, this. Yet again forfeiting 70% of the ball and playing for the good fortune, of which we’ve had enough to be in front but if we’d just show a bit more on the ball we could have this game out of sight by now.

The goal conceded is another absolute shocker from a central defender. Brown is really dining out on the player he was at the moment, rather than the player he is. The chance should be absolute bread and butter and he’s missed by a distance.

This Preston team is poor. Really poor. Particularly at the back. It’s there for us if we can find some bravery from somewhere rather than asking the opponent to give something up for us.
