Wish more of our players would copy Greg Leigh and get in an early cross.
He did it twice last night and we should have scored right at the end of the first half.El Miz?
I’m sure Scarlett Harris or anyone else attacking the six yard box is always wanting an early cross, as soon as you delay it gives the defenders time to set themselves.
In the first half it was noticeable how much quicker Hull were about everything - not in the sense of running down the wing but just collecting and passing the ball quickly and smartly. That seems to be the biggest difference from League One.

Love Greg Leigh. His trademark sprint when he comes on and his happy positive demeanour. Even his hair is happy. Such a joy to watch him. He looked absolutely crestfallen Saturday with that missed header so to see him put that cross in last night was fantastic. Also amazing piece of skill late on taking down a ball that had come from the moon and killing it in an instant.

There was a collective gasp from the North Stand when he did that followed by a round of applause.

He’s such a likeable person and player it’s easy to forgive his defensive frailties at times.

Could be a coincidence but we have a lot of seemingly good characters in the squad.

Vaulks another who although he's had a tough start seems like a gem of a human.

Norwich in the first game had nothing, and I would say Preston were quite poor really.
I think we caught Norwich at a good time e.g. their main striker not wanting to play etc which potentially had a knock-on effect.

I agree Preston were poor, but I felt Hull were one of the poorest teams I’ve seen this season.

For us to beat them when playing really poorly ourselves, probably the worst this season, especially in the first half, was amazing.

I’d say Hull were better than Luton or Stoke, certainly not one of the poorest so far. They had good movement on and off the ball and created plenty of chances. If they’d taken them they’d have been out of sight by half time.

I don’t think it was Leigh fault in the first half as he seemed to have 2 players to pick up every time.

Just felt McEachran, Vaulks and El Mizouni weren’t really picking up, especially El Mizouni, so Hull were getting a lot of free space/time.

Goodrham seemed to be playing wide again in the first half, but got a bit more freedom in the second half, and a couple of times he was more central.

Regarding Leigh, I just think he’s too erratic, but you cannot question his endeavour. Good squad player at best.
Perfectly put. In the 1st half he played without any thought at all. Top character though, a real trier. Good lad to have about

I’m not sure if they were good or we were extremely poor, but it felt like the latter!

I also felt that Hull didn’t really play for their manager, probably as they want him gone which may have made them look worse than they actually are/were!
