If the fans who want to be brave and abuse players behind a keyboard because we aren’t picking up points constantly this season might want to go and support a team like Man City!

The hard times make the good times feel so much better! Every win will be vital this season but as a fan base we can’t throw our toys out the pram as soon as we get into a bit of a bad run!

I would also remind those fans who are giving out the abuse that the club is currently running a campaign all to do with mental health, might be worth remembering that before sending an abusive message to one of our players or to another fan.

On to Tuesday…3-0 win.

Wouldn't be against sam long in centre midfield instead of Sibley Tuesday night. Will give more plus easier to move him towards a defensive role if needed

If we are going for wing backs then I’d play the following:

Cumming
Long Moore Brown
Dale Vaulks El Mizouni Leigh
Goodrham
Harris Scarlett
Dale has played there before and I think adds more attacking threat than Kioso. Plus I feel Kioso could do with a game or 2 out of the side to recharge his batteries.
Long coming in for Nelson gives us more natural right sided defender.

Nelson is a right sided defender wouldn't leave him out.IMO.

I agree mostly, but would probably swap Long for Nelson, and also Dale for Ter Avest.

That shape is what we need and have needed for a couple of game imo.

Quite a bit of talk of playing 3 at the back with wingbacks, especially with the lack of pace on the wings.

I can see some logic to it and I’m not totally against it, however to my mind if we were going to change formation and the way the team has basically been playing all season then surely the time to do it was for the Swansea match when we had a whole week to prepare, not with just one day as is the case with the Hull game.

For me this is the biggest game of the season not just for the club, but for Des also, lose it and he’s under a little bit of pressure.

Why would we play a back 5 when we have effectively 1 day to work on it.
Maybe to win the game some players need to step up to the level that they were at a few weeks ago.

I'm sure there have been lots of defensive scenarios worked on in training over the previous weeks/months. I'd be extremely surprised if there hadn't been. Playing a back 5 shouldn't be a problem.

Might be a bit crazy but hear me out, what if we play Thorniley left wing? He's left footed so that's half the battle and as a natural defender he'll be able to anticipate what his opposite number is thinking.

He'll have Sam Long feeding him through balls from the quarterback position all day long so he can just concentrate on beating his man and whipping crosses in for Easty to head home (he's quite tall so is going up front).
