If not a 'must win' it's definitely a 'must not lose' game
No reason why we can't get something out of this one as long as we have the bottle, needs a performance like Peterborough in last years play off away, guts, determination, a bit of luck.
Come on you mighty U's

My day starts with root canal treatment at 09:00. Then off to the game where I expect all my worries to be put aside and OUFC plunder 3 points from Chippy.
I should also report that Mrs L and self had curry last night. This is not the time for sqeaky bums.
Is that not a 2 hour stint in the chair, for the first part.?

The sun is shining the birds are singing it feels like it’s going to be a good day

Feeling positive about this one I dunno why when everything is pointing towards a Sheffield win but yeah 2-1 to the Us

Need the players to really believe they belong in the Championship and get at the Blades from the off. Toe to toe for the whole of the match.

Need the fans to really get behind the team, treat it like a FA Cup fixture, make it as uncomfortable as possible for the away team.

Yes, Sheffield Utd will be favourites on league position and current form and rightly so, but they WILL have an off day between now and the rest of the season, it’s up to us, staff, players and supporters to try and help make that happen today.

COYY.

I've just been told that there are numerous roadworks along Garsington and Watlington roads. Between the Swan and Grenoble rd, So expect traffic chaos in the area. The roadworks are there till 13th of April.

It’s about time some of our players realised we are in a relegation scrap.
Have to say that the keeper and back four or five plus Brannagan, Matos and Vaulks are doing this and straining every muscle to keep us in games.
But it’s time for the rest to show more commitment, don’t give up on balls, get back and help the defence, close down with more intensity and for Gods sake when a golden opportunity comes along take it

We’ve had reasonable home form this season. If we can get a point against Burnley there’s no reason we can’t get a point today:

Oxford United 1 - Sheffield United 1.

We’re staying up
We’re staying up
We’re staying
Oxford’s staying up!

Let’s find the spirit we had at Wembley in May. Everyone expected Bolton to win easily after our 5-0 drubbing at theirs.
Hope Rowett instructs the team to play with flair, pace and intensity. And we get a bit of luck for a change.

Apparently there is a football match in Oxford today:

Hopefully not, scheduled is an hour.
45 minutes for the canal, now waiting for the crown. 3d printed on site so 30 to 45 minutes and all done. Should be on way home within the next hour.

It was mentioned on The Dub and on another one of the fan podcasts, but we really do needs an against-form, rabbit-out-of-the-hat results against one of Leeds, Sunderland and Sheffield United from our home games. Just one win from those three would be brilliant but it’s a very tall order.

0-2 today I’m afraid.
We haven’t really had a surprise result all season or beaten anyone that good. It’s been a bit feeble - let’s not go down without a whimper.

Norwich at home and holding both Burnley and WBA at home are probably the main results that went against type.

However, they were a long old while back now so your point is valid.

That said, I wouldn’t say that this season has been a whimper at all. If we finish on 44-45 points, we’ve made a go of it. It won’t be bad going for a team that finished 5th in League 1 last season.

Aswel as our game today there is also some other huge games around the bottom of the table
Luton vs Leeds ( away win 🤞)
Plymouth vs Norwich ( away win 🤞)
QPR vs Cardiff ( home win 🤞)
Swansea vs Derby ( home win 🤞)

This could be a big weekend for the teams at the bottom

EVERY weekend is a big weekend for the teams at the bottom.

As above - massive game in Swansea today.
