Stoke, high up the league. Little Oxford fighting to stay up. Who will win?
I have no idea, so I'm going for nobody!
A low scoring draw is my forecast, 1-1.
Fingers crossed.....

COME ON YOU YELLOWS

I'd take that!

But I'm hoping a complacent Stoke come to town and our lads and the fans are up knocking them down a peg or two, we need to keep punching above our weight and triggering fanbases! 👊

I was going to sing Stokes praises, given where they are in the league…

But I then took a look at their results this year. Bristol City win aside, there is nothing overly impressive in my eyes that makes them scary. Of course, they have a higher quality side than us, but I genuinely think this one is winnable.

U’s fitness coach Chris Short played against United for Stoke City in 1998.

Decent ticket sales of 163 yesterday, leaving us with just under 1,100 seats left at midnight last night. ES sales are actually quite good at 97%, NS is at 93%, SSU is 89% but SSL is lagging way behind at 73%, with the end block next to the ES and the two end blocks nearest the fence being the predictable lowest sellers by far.

I'd expect 100 or more sales today and, with the boxes added in, think my 10,500 forecast won't be far off.

On the Dub, former Ewes player Ben "Who?" Purkiss said he'd seen Stoke play a few weeks ago and didn't think they were up to much.

Worth pointing out the above (from the club's website).

Looking forward to watching what on paper will be a stodgy match between two sides who don't play the most attractive of football, but who might actually open each other up a bit for excitement at both ends of the pitch. A 2-1 win for the Us, with us pulling it back after going behind relatively early.

Agree itll likely be a tight, hard-fought match, fancy it to end up a 3-1 home win, with a late winner, then even later clincher

How many times have we seen it with our own team a stunning performance big win one game followed by absolute dross and a defeat the next let's hope that happens to stoke tonight

Someone said a few days back A34 closed north bound tonight, can't find any info of this round
Oxford .

Spent too much time worrying about the the league table before the Millwall game when in reality we more than deserved a point despite not really putting in too much of a performance across the whole game.

Saturday aside, doesn't look like Stoke are any more free-scoring that Millwall, but they have conceded the lowest amount in the league.

We definitely can't be given away 2 soft goals again - but we're more than capable of getting something from this with a decent performance.

Be happy with a draw, but could see us nicking it 1-0 as well...

Tonight’s Champ. fixtures:

Tough game for West Brom before they play us on Saturday.

We’re in for a difficult game this evening but are man enough for the job:

Oxford United 1 - Stoke City 1.

Feeling optimistic 2-0 win. Prelec and Helik to get the goals.

COYY!!

Prior to Saturday’s games we both had scored 13 goals .
Stoke have the best defence in the league .
I’d take thst 1-1

We have done alright against the better teams to come to us this season but lost to two poor teams, so hopefully we can get something tonight. Tough one though, Robins is a good manager and they are in form and buzzing after a very good win. Need to cut out the mistakes and not let them get ahead.
