I thought I was taking this whole playoff thing in my stride, after all it's only a game, we've done well to get here, it's been a great season anyway etc etc.

But I'm now more nervous and excited than I've been since I think the play off final in 2010. I wasn't even like this for the semi's that year!

It’s not match day yet in Perth cos it’s after midnight ko. I really hope we win because I’m going to only get a few hours sleep and then we’re driving 500 km tomorrow, and I don’t want to be miserable.

Managed to keep calm about this till this morning, it’s a bit strange to have not played for four months then go straight into a play off game so hasn’t felt real, but I woke up at 5.30 for work excited like a school boy who has found a bag of porn mags in the woods, it was an excitement my non football fan missus didn’t share at that time after I woke her to tell it was only 12 hours till kick off (didn’t get any if anyone was wondering, can’t decide if that’s a good or bad omen).

Beers in the fridge, got to work half hour early so I can f**k off in plenty of time to get home, we might not be able to go to the games but it’s still great to have Oxford United back playing.
