Home Match Day Thread 03/04/2026 - MDT: Oxford United v Hull City

Thats a long time ago but that dont make you any better than anyone else it just makes you older
I never said that Billy. Yes I am of senior years and I respect every single OU supporters' opinions. I also have tremendous respect for all your input on the stadium.

Please. That ship has now sailed. Neither you or I want a new home with regular crowds of 7K?
We have no choice we have to move end of have you not grasped that yet
id rather have crowds of 7k and a club than no club at at all

No way will crowds be 7,000 even in L1.
A massively better stadium. We averaged 9,000 our last season in.L1 when we went up ( and we were rarely in.the Top 6).
I would be surprised if we didn't get 11k most weeks in our first season if we were in L1

I will be there whoever we play. I was supporting them at Workington away - how far does your loyalty go back?

I don’t think anyone is questioning your loyalty, but we draw at home to a team in the play offs, are a point off being safe with 6 games to go and you start going on about struggling in league one next season, that donkey in Winnie the Pooh was more chipper than you.

Agree.

We could be in L2 for the first season in the new stadium and the gates will be 10,000 plus - that’s just new stadium bounce. Reading went from 4,000 at Elm Park to 15,000 overnight at the Madjeski. They found 10,000 new fans from somewhere and we will be the same.

Can we get rid of the MPH long throws that actually aren't anywhere near flat enough, fast enough or erm long enough please? Completely unthreatening.
Scored from one at Preston

With the prices being "inferred " in the recent fans survey I really hope you are right. Lot of folk sitting near me yesterday are more than concerned.

One swallow etc. The aim seemed to be for someone to head the ball on, but a) there wasn't anyone at maximum throw range except b) the defenders who had obviously been coached where the ball was going to land. The only saving grace was that much of the time the defenders headed the ball back where it came from so MPH got a second go at delivering it.

What prices have been 'inferred"?
Look what has happened to STs in the past e years in.the Championship.
The club will want to get as many people as possible in.the ground.
Do you seriously think that the club will make prices are so high that incase fantastic new stadium, they will be happy with 7,000 crowds when there were 9,000 in a shifty stadium in L1 last time?
The inference I have taken is that 'GA' tickets will be very reasonable, but there will be much higher prices for corporate hospiand those who want to get other offerings.

Agree with you but we were in the top 6 basically all season.

FWIW
I was unimpressed with MPH. He hardly broke into a sweat. Didn't get stuck in for most of challenges then missed very good chance. Then stupidly played the ball when obviously offside when Donley about to try and recover his missed effort. His long throw in 2nd half against a cross wind were unthreatening. Vaults throws from same area really dynamic. Didn't see or understand why placheta not given a go. Very entertaining game though

What 300 to about 600 quid a season?

The plastic prats had some sub 2000 crowds in the 80's....we've never dipped that low

Unpopular opinion, I know, but the Harris chance wasn't a classic 'miss'.
If you watch the replay carefully, he doesn't check his run at all, he just keeps sprinting to where he thinks the ball will go. It's a great pass to find him, but he is at full stretch when he connects.
You can't fault his timing, because he is maxed out [if anything his anticipation makes the chance] and you can't fault the finish because he doesn't quite make it in time.
If it was a great pass then he should have scored. If he missed because the pass was too far ahead of him it wasn't a great pass. Your can't have both.

Misery loves company!

You've been against the new stadium from the get go, and have written this season off several times.

And you mistake longevity for loyalty. Watching games for years means nothing if you can't fight for the club when it really matters. Our entire future depends on the new stadium, and our championship survival depends on the next 6 games. And you dialled out on both.

I'm glad that we have people working at the club and supporting in the stands who have shown a great deal more fight and backbone than a small handful on here.

I've just looked at the league table on the BBC website, and we're the only side in the entire bottom half of the table to have won 3 of our last 6 games!

Along with the 2 draws as well, we're the form side of the entire bottom half!
Lets win ALL the remaining games , we can do it

starting that winning run tomorrow
