I'd have Long in place of Davies (he's been so steady all season and is more flexible), but otherwise......yes.

I think we're actually at a point in the season - finally - where most of the starting XI picks itself now based on recent form. RB and LW are the only positions even worth discussing (unless someone has a knock).

Kind of feels like this needs to be a four point weekend at a minimum to keep our heads above water.

Anyone got any idea on how bad the traffic queue will be at the M3 on Monday? I got caught out once before took over 3 hours to Pomps.

It’s a tough call for sure, but think Davies’ composure and quality on the ball (for a CB) would be beneficial if (god forbid) we have something to hold onto and the manager reverts to a back 5 again. Long would be better suited for the Portsmouth game, where you’d expect Spencer would be fatigued from his international work.

Thought the training pic choices today were interesting. Davies, Ter Avest (and Leigh!?) all featured.

Wonder if those first two will be contingency for Brown/Spencer. Brown is likely to play against Wales now that they have sent McNair back to Hull to prepare against us.

No place in the entire squad for the ultra professional, committed and passionate Sam Long, one of the nailed on contenders for POTS??

But you include Emakhu, who looks like he doesn’t know how to play football, and looks like he doesn’t care either, and Ter Avest and Davies who have been mere bit part players all season??

MADNESS!!

Sam Long is the EXACT type of player we need in the side right now!

The situation with O Neil should not be allowed. There is a clear conflict of interest. He has released 4 players whose clubs all coincidentally play relegation rivals of Blackburn on Friday. Is that a coincidence, possibly but his dual role leaves it open to question. If our 4 players get flogged for 95 mins along with the WBA lad questions will inevitably and should be asked.
If I were Oxford I would be asking for the release of Donley and Spencer given they played majority of the Italy game

Agree.

Unquestionably, Hull will be a tough one. They have it all to play for and will still fancy their chances for 3 points.
One for you guys here…!
Do you set yourselves up as if every game is potentially your last and take it to Hull or do you hold something back for Mondays s**t or bust shootout?
Not an easy thing to weigh up for the manager.
Either is kind of understandable.

win them both

Just go for it. Some have been rested during the ITL break.

So, 3 points going into the Portsmouth game please.

All our good work will be unraveled very quickly if we don’t throw all we have into the remaining games.

We don’t have the luxury of time to pussy foot around and try to be clever anymore.

It's a Bank Holiday Monday. Weather forecast is good, loads of daytrippers off to the coast with the kids. Double the normal journey time and then add an hour or two, just to be on the safe side.....

It’s a good job that the kick-off time has been brought forward then!!
