Very important 2 games coming up ,4 points needed .Otherwise we slip down again and all of a sudden you get under pressure .It's a relentless division .A good friend is an Ipswich fan he's finding the same with the premier league ,he keeps saying i don't know where any win is coming from. No Burtons ,Vale ,Shrewsbury. Swansea ex premier league, Hull ex premier league Sheff Utd ex premier league. COYYs we can take 4 points out of the next 9 .

Swansea haven't scored a goal for 560 minutes. Home form will be pivotal in this game .
2-0 the Ox 🐂 .

We need a win, this one is winnable so lets hope we do get a win. I realise this will upset people who only want to draw games.
Unfortunately, I have met many, many of these drawsters in my time of following the U's but even though the drawing of some championship matches these days are slightly more understandable (only slightly) these are the same monsters (only older and should f*cking well know better) who used to take a home draw versus Kidderminster or Kidlington in the Oxfordshire senior Cup!

Two wins at home a minimum with a monster of a draw at Watthehellford.

COYY'S

Interested to see how we line up for this one. Youd guess McEachran in for Vaulks, might be time for Ruben to drop to the bench. Maybe Sibley to get a start?
Swansea, Im sure, will see this as a winnable game. But ,for us, we ve got to have confidence we can beat this sort of team at home. Weve got to really if were going to stay in this league.
3-1

Not sure this is going to be an easy one. A look at their stats from Saturday when they lost at home to Millwall, is quite a revalation

4 points? 4 bloody points???!!!

We can take 9 points from the three games. That has to be the target. 4 points means you're accepting a loss in one of the games. I NEVER accept a loss, and I certainly don't plan for one, as you seem to be.

Luckily for us you aren't managing, or playing, for us.

In what way?

For me it those stats reveal poor quality in the final third. Consistently. They've actually averaged more than 66% possession across their last 5 games - including 67.6% at Blackburn and 66.1% at Sheffield United.

But they failed to score in any of them.

A cursory look at their forum will tell you that whilst they have a solid defence and clearly players who are comfortable on the ball, their attack is blunt (and they are already desperate for January reinforcements).

It looks as though, if you get in front they'll struggle to break you down. They haven't scored a 2nd half goal since 17th August ffs (or a 2nd half goal, away from home, all season).

They're a poor Championship side, at this point. In fact, since Luke Williams took over there, only Cardiff and Plymouth (of the sides who were in The Championship last season  and this) have picked up fewer points in that time.

I think they'll continue to do their possession thing - and that suits us. Let them have the ball, do their tippy tappy 'we're better footballers' nonsense and then hit them when we get the chance.

2-0. Tyler early on from distance, and a 2nd later on from Ruben against his manager crush.

Both goals 'against the run of play'...

It's going to click for us. 2-0. Another from Scarlett and a header from Moore. I threw up on my new trainers on Swansea's mumbles mile when I was 19. It's pay back.
Could you recall a more precise location? It's just that Mrs L and self thought we might make a weekend out of the return fixture and, well, you know, we wouldn't want to step in anything unhygienic.

Hi folks, we are from the Swansea Independent forum, the biggest Swans fans website. We write numerous articles on opposition games in the week before and after fixtures. Very impressed by what we have seen this season from the U’s. Our goalscoring is, well, not very good. Five games now without a goal, but creating a lot of chances. We’ve done a profile on your club and the game.

Plus we have looked back in time on your history since joining the football league. Loved those midweek cup games in the 80’s.

Feel free to comment on our forum, there’s no animosity towards visiting fans whatsoever.

Thanks for letting us on 👍

Seems odd to think that 2016 FA Cup victory was eight years ago now. That was a great team under Michael Appleton.
Was that the game where Chris Maguire was doing keepy-up tricks towards the end of the game?

Shake it up!

There's width, as well as defensive cover out wide, there's two up top, there's Tyler playing in the middle, there's Sibley to add a bit of drive in the middle, and there's Josh to pull the strings.

Simples!
That’s it. That’s the team.

Width, energy, invention. Pace up front and runners in behind. Three big strong boys at the back.

That team wins on Saturday.

I really like the look of that.
It has many adaptions based on what we need during the game.

With wingbacks, they have to be ultra switched on because they become absolutely pivotal in this system. Ultimately, your best players. They will need to be a main attacking outlet, providing width and overload at vital times. This means they will need to cover an insane amount of ground.
5 mins later, their captain might be dragging them in narrow to the defensive line in a more conservative approach.

I like the look of the midfield as it’s self explanatory. Josh M will do a job and be able to see quick forward passes. I think Tyler and Sib have the technical ability to turn us around quickly and make ground, and from there, as well as having wide options, Harris and Scarlett can play close enough together to be a real menace in the final 3rd.
Des out.😛
