Thought it was alright yesterday.

On the traffic issues that were talked about before the game, I got the bus and had one of the best journeys there and back of the season!

I think the biggest difference is we played the better football when we were a goal down and they played the better football when the game was level. That hasn't been the first game this season either where we are more adventurous in our play when we are trailing.

The problem as soon as we are level we take the foot off the gas, players get nervous on the ball and rather than carrying the ball with them creating space they play a ball backwards putting unnecessary pressure on the team.

Yes we could do with some more quality in January but this team is far superior to last seasons and we could be a comfortable mid table side if ths whole squad and manager were more positive in their approach.
I think theres a fear among the players that when we are level they dont want to make a mistake that ends up in a goal, second half we stopped going forward and allowed Millwall the chance to get on top. Hopefully better players in January will sort this out. Massive improvement in home performances over last season without the results so far.

He's still getting up to speed but I though Krastev showed a lot of promise yesterday too. As a wide midfielder rather than winger. Pressed them well, skillful in tight spaces and eager to play forward passes into the centre. Offers something very different to what we have. There were a couple of times he won the ball out wide and played it perfectly into the danger zone near the edge of the box only to find teammates hanging back. It was also his aggression then quick pass on the left that won us the ball for our first.

I like the look of him. He’s got the ability and inclination to do something a bit different, trying to make something happen.

Stan Mills was fantastic yesterday. He looked absolutely destroyed when he came off. Deserved his ovation and never stopped running and probing, even after a couple of early errors. Great attitude, promising talent.
Krastev has all the attributes: physicality, good touch, ball skills, plays with his head up. So far not much material output, which is strange. I back him to come good and start producing soon. He's possibly another one of our wingers who might be better in the ten. We seem to be collecting these.
Strangely poor game for our back 4. I'm not used to seeing us look so leaky. A rare off day.
Throughly enjoyed the game: Championship is what it's all about!
COYYs

didnt a 'wall player get a yellow in time added for kicking the ball away?
I just have missed that, as did the Sky report.

‘Minutes silence nonsense?’
How f*****g disrespectful.
Shove your personal views where the sun doesn’t shine and stick to reporting on football.
Probably calls themselves a journalist cos they write that crap online.

The last post can never fail to get people up for some noise.

definately appeared to get a yellow? perhaps it wasnt?
Ladbrokes say: "The stats from this match paint a picture of a closely contested affair. With possession almost evenly split at 49% for Oxford and 51% for Millwall, neither team dominated the ball. What's interesting is the difference in corners, with Millwall earning 8 to Oxford's 5, suggesting they had more attacking pressure. Both teams had a 50% success rate in dribbles, showing parity in individual skill, but Millwall picked up the only yellow card of the game, indicating perhaps a bit more physicality from them."

However, in the table beneath that they show zero yellow cards for the game..odd.

AI written dribble 😂

You deserve a chance to reply to people and whoever wrote it is entitled to their view but after calling the Remembrance Day (although not on the day obviously) minutes silence nonsense I probably won’t bother clicking on the match day report from this source again, that’s a bit of a far left, anti British viewpoint for me. Shame as I normally enjoy it but there you go.

Which you probably don’t care about which is again fair enough.

I quite like the Remembrance Day stuff though you couid say it doesn’t have anything to do with football?
