It was a Tuesday night match, I think in the conference. They scored direct from a corner with the last kick of the game about a minute after they equalised
It was indeed - during the 09/10 season and they ended up finishing higher than us after a slow start. But then lost to York in the play-off semi-final. Not sure what happened at Wembley though.

First time I’ve seen a copper go into a home end and end up worse and seeing their hat being thrown around.

I tried to leave just after they scored the 2nd to get back to my car only to be told I had to wait for all away fans to be escorted together. They kindly escorted us down the road to where Luton fans were waiting for us and throwing bottles over the top of the police.

For some reason I’ve never felt the need to rush back to Luton.

Yeah remember that, to be fair that was funny. Didn’t see any coppers rushing in to help their mate either

You never saw a packed London Road then at a feisty fixture - coppers’ hats being flung around and onto the pitch is one of my earliest memories of The Manor.

Would have preferred to play Luton in the final, would have been a near sell out and seeing their fans after we’d have beaten them would have been priceless

No he certainly seemed like he was on his own that night!

The one thing I did take away from that night was that Luton really is a shithole.

On tomorrows game…I think we will win bit at the same time I would take a point just to stop the run of away losses.

If we get a positive result tomorrow then it gives the players plenty of confidence going into Pompey away on Saturday which is a game we should be winning.

On a side note, a Derby fan came in to work today and was saying how surprised he was at how well we have started the season. Seems like it’s not just the established championship clubs that are under estimating us this season. We really were seen as the whipping boys before a ball was kicked.

I’m enjoying fans of other teams getting upset that little old Oxford aren’t just rolling over for them.

Unfortunately when we were at the manor I was just a nipper and generally taken in the Beach Road or Osler Road. Only in the last 2 seasons at the manor did I start going in the London Rd.
